I usually never want to write negative review because i understand any business need to survive during inflation time and people also need to survive for their own life. But this time i should write something hope that the owner can read it.
My friend recommended me the NAIL BY YEN salon with very amazing as we seen at the beginning as the hidden germ in Sugar Land. Was exciting to try out. My friend came on Wednesday to do her nail done. An hour 30min the nail tech (short hair lady) couldnāt finish the set and tell my friend come back the next day. Then the nail tech charged 70$ and ask for tip (even she didnāt finish her job yet).It was really sloppy and messy looking but we understand the nail tech not finish her job yet for that 1h30min. The next day, Thursday my friend came back to finish the nail and asked the lady why did she charge high price compare to our other friend, and why no drink offer, she answer that she charged $70 because she gave acrylic plus gel on top so basically she just decided to make it more expensive by not finishing it out as a acrylic nails which is cheap because she choose on her own to put Jello on top is why she charged $70 (the nail tech didnt ask my friend for permission before she did for higher price)
As the first day she said the salon offer complimentary drink, wine and soft drink as customer service but they never offer anything to usā¦. The nail tech lady said she doesnāt want to speak about wine offer until my other friend comes back for her toes (that girl also have to come back twice to finish her nail set, it mean she came 3 times for her nail and toe done)
Within 3 days, my friend nails have started to fall off and slowly gone 1 by 1 (I have proof)Pay 70$ for the full set and fall off within 3 days. I would of asked them to fix it there and then but it was packed, I had many things to do and I didn't want to waist anymore time here than I had already. I went back a couple days later when I was back in town from the holidays. All I asked them was to fix my nails. instead they tried to convince me that there was nothing Wong with my nails and that I just needed a refil, they didn't fix my nails. instead they made me an appoint me an appointment for the next day with the same woman that messed up my nails in the first place because apperantly it wouldn't be fair for the other staff to have to fix my nails, and they're charging me for a refil this place is very unprofessional. However, the bottom line is that three of us received poor results: my full set lifted and came off within 3 days, and both of my friendsā nails also began falling off by the 3rd day (with one losing 4 nails). One of us was also charged extra without requesting it, and none of us received the complimentary drinks that were advertised.
The third friendās nails were done too thick and chunky. She was told she would need to wait two weeks for a correction and was only accommodated sooner because we insisted after paying ā the nails were simply unacceptable.
