Gridiron Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Sugar Land

I would give my most recent experience zero stars if allowed. I have been a semi regular at this establishment for a while. I like to go on Sundays because they have the NFL package and at times past they have put my game on for me. Today I waited patiently at the bar to order a drink while the male bartender blatantly ignored me. The restaurant was dead and he was helping no one. I walked down to the side of the bar he was at cleaning up, he proceeds to continue to ignore me and walks to the other end of the bar and continues to clean up dirty dishes rather then help me. At this point I notice the owners sitting at the end of the bar I am at. At this point I am verbalizing my complaint completely perplexed. The bar tender clearly hates his job and probably needs to find another line of work. The owners did offer the first round on the house. When our beers arrived they were hot. I will never go back to Gridiron and I will make sure all the people I brought don’t either. Glad the owners saw the exchange. I hope they make some change. Totally...

The crawfish is delicious! The owner was present while I was there, super friendly. The service is mediocre. The waitress I had would take too long to bring free items such as ice, water, napkins, but whenever I would ask for something that would make my bill higher it would be brought out immediately. It made me think she was just trying to make sure her tip was higher due to the total of my bills.😑 Also I found the manager to be rude and obnoxious. While sitting there she came out and asked how many bags of crawfish was sold during the AYCE. When she found out she was complaining about it. You can even tell the other employees do not like her. Have you ever been to a bar in Houston where they served authentic Thai food?! Holy cow! This place was awesome! I used to go here when I lived in Stafford, it was run down and dingy. The new owners really turned this place around. I think they’re supposed to change the name to Straight Out of Bangkok soon. We stopped by here after work and had an amazing time. Drinks kept flowing and food was great. On Thursday’s they have wing specials for $.50! And man were they plump and juicy. On Fridays, the Mexican beer specials were only $2! Dude that’s a steal! And the fact that I can get thai food and a burger with tots for only $8?! Yeah talk about the best neighborhood dive bar ever! :) definitely a go to place for me...
