I have been catering from Renu's Kitchen for over four months now, can honestly rate them simply the best Indian Homestyle food caterer in Sugarland. Renu and Inder, the owners, are amazing people who always create fresh, delicious, and authentic food with custom instructions
They specialize in Sindhi, Punjabi, Mughlai and North Indian cuisine, have a big variety of dishes to choose from. Some of my favorites are Dal Pakwan (a crispy flatbread served with lentil curry), Samosa Chaat (a spicy snack made with mashed potatoes and tangy chutneys), Paneer Butter Masala (a creamy curry with cottage cheese cubes), Chicken Biryani (a fragrant rice dish with chicken and spices), and Sabudana Kheer (a sweet milk dessert made with Indian tapioca balls). Some other Sindhi dishes that I love are Saag Sai Bhaji (a spinach with Chana Dal lentil is a vegetable stew), Masala Koki (a thick spiced Sindhi Roti bread), Chicken Tikka (grilled chicken pieces marinated in spices and yoghurt), and Suji Halwa (a pudding made with semolina, ghee, sugar, and nuts).
The food is always flavorful, spicy, and satisfying, and the portions are generous. The quality of the food is comparable to a Michelin-starred restaurant, but the prices are very reasonable.
One of the things that I appreciate most about Renu's Kitchen is that they are respectful of my family's allergies and sensitivities. They've always asked me about any dietary restrictions or preferences before preparing the food, and they customize the dishes accordingly. They have always done that for all of my family's needs, making them quite popular in the community.
If you are looking for a reliable, friendly, and professional Indian food caterer in Sugarland, I highly recommend Renu's Kitchen. You will not be disappointed by their service or their food. They are...
Read moreI stopped by Renu's as a "treat yourself" moment after the doctors (i live an hour away). I am so happy to have chosen here to have lunch! Renu's kitchen is family owned and operated. Every Ingridient made from scratch and with love; (except the pomegranate and cilantro, as stated by the son 😊). I ordered the Dahi Bahlla and the Pani Puri for here and ordered the butter chicken for my dinner later. The Dahi Bahlla was a pleasant experience! I went in blindly, not knowing what to expect besides appearance. I will note that if you are not an adventurous eater, this might not be the dish for you. BUT it was for me! The yogurt was cold, fresh, and refreshing. I loved the lentil cakes (but very filling!), as well as the swirls of spices and pops of pomegranate and cilantro. Pani Puri is always a fun dish to eat and was absolutely perfect. The chickpea and potato filling was perfectly diced and spiced. The tamarind glaze like sauce and the thin cilantro water to pour inside paired perfectly with the filling. All inside a fresh crunchy pocket for the best bite! The family was welcoming, helpful and informative. I will say there is not much space for groups so definitely consider sitting on the patio or ordering to go. I cannot wait for my butter chicken later or to come back after my next Dr's visit! Remember: SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES. 🫶
!!UPDATE!! No pic.. I'm sorry I was just too excited to get home and devour my butter chicken. 😋 ONCE I STARTED I COULD NOT STOP TIL I WAS MISERABLY FULL. The balance of spices could only be the work of a mythical GOD. Every bite was like a warm hug that soothed and healed every little tear in my soul. 😭😭😭 that meal was a spiritual experience and I cannot wait for my next visit! May just come back without a Dr's...
Read moreAny successful business is built on excellent customer service. I’ve experienced both sides of this establishment — once as a customer and once as a part-time Uber Eats driver — and unfortunately, the difference in treatment was noticeable.
As a customer, I received A+ service. However, during my visit to pick up an order for Uber Eats, the experience was quite different. The issue wasn’t with the young man in glasses, who was courteous, but with the main staff member with a mustache. When I asked a question, he was dismissive and walked away before I could finish speaking.
Being an Uber Eats driver does not warrant disrespect. I am an educated, articulate individual. Uber Eats is simply a side hustle — one that has introduced me to countless restaurants. I work remotely several days a week, and I often refer to the menus I collect during deliveries when deciding where to order from personally.
Ninety-nine percent of the time, restaurants are welcoming and professional. This, however, was a disappointing exception. I felt judged not as a person, but by the reason I was there — and that is unacceptable.
While I will continue to pick up orders if assigned by Uber Eats, I will not be returning as a customer. That is my choice based on...
