Customer service is horrible. Front counter personnel will let you stand there without saying a word to you for several minutes. No less than four employees looked directly at me, and even more just walked right by, without even looking at me. People kept coming in saying things were wrong with their orders while I waited for mine. It tool a while for someone to acknowledge me when I needed a straw because the dispenswr was empty along with the napkins. Youd think a store with what seemed like 7 employees could move faster and keep things stocked up better. When customers came in to have their meals corrected, no one said they were sorry. They just slow-shuffle walked off, I guess fixed it, and just handed it back to them without a wors. I guess the mgr is in the black shirt and seemed the only one with any pep in her step. She at least was cordial to the one customer she had to correct an order for. They give you these numbers to put on your table for, what Ive experienced in the past is to bring your food to the table for you when done. The girl taking orders just goes to the counter and yells out the order a few times until finally, once the customer realizes they are not getting their order brought to them, goes up and gets their bag. After the customer reminded her the meal was for heren the girl puts the bagged food on to a tray and asks if the customer wants her to take it out of the bag and put it on the tray. The customer was visibly upset. Her sitting husband asked across the restaraunt 'why did you give me number then?' And throws the number across the restaraunt. As I sat writing this review, the guy brings me my 'for here order' and said, 'sorry they put it in the bag' and just walked off. Hahaha. I asked for no onions and Im pretty sure Im going to be biting into a hamburger with extra onions. This is a terribly managed whataburger with emplouees that dont much...
Read moreTo start, I love Whataburger. I truly do. But this is one of the worst experiences that I've had at one. Even worse than the one in Temple (see my other review). It makes me wonder if the corporate office needs to have a QA retrain with its franchisees.
The drive through order started with 2 Whatachicken meals, a patty melt and an apple pie. I wanted onion rings with my chicken and the girl said, "rings?!" like it was a foreign concept to her. We paid at the window after waiting for one of the FOUR people there to acknowledge us. One guy asked us to move up and he'd bring our order when ready. No big deal, the chicken tenders usually take a while to drop and fry. He came back to my window and ASKED WHAT WE ORDERED. I asked if he were serious and he said he was. WTH?!
He came back a few minutes later with our order. I asked if this was completely correct. He assured me it was. I said, "Even the apple pie?" He said yes. I know better. Sure enough, no pie. I went back into the restaurant and had to ask for the pie. Back at the car, my wife said, "Do you realize that he forgot our drinks? Now I'm hot. I go back into the restaurant again and went straight to the manager without waiting for her to acknowledge me a second time and said how upset I was. She helped to get my drinks and asked if there was anything else she could do to help make the experience better. (I appreciated that - but a little too late. )
To finish my great experience, I slipped on the weather mat at the front door because of all the grease on the floor as it scooted out from under me. I didn't fall, but almost had to laugh because the whole trip was so ridiculous.
Please, please, Whataburger, restore my...
Read moreUnfortunately, I have a bad case of food poisoning after getting whatabaurger on Friday morning 5/16 at 2AM in drivethru. I ordered a #5 bacon cheeseburger combo. The young lady taking my order was not the friendliest. I was the only one in the driveway however the food took around 10 minutes before I got it, which was probably a red flag. The manager delivered the meal to me and almost had almost a shocked look on his face and he hesitated when giving me the food becuase he realized that im a regular. Nonetheless, I felt they gave me rotten food deliberately. Bottom line, i have been suffering from food poisoning for 2 days now with no end. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with quality control and management for not training employees to Whataburger standard. I live in Los Angeles, where there is no Whataburger so I look forward to eating it everything as I grew up here. I was always a Whataburger over innout guy but this experience has unfortunately pushes the needle towards innout where I have NEVER had a food poisoning issue. Overall, this particular Whataburger needs to change staff and management. Hope corporate is paying attention but I will reach out to them directly. Rest assured, I won't be eating Whataburger for a long time if ever again. Something I thought...
