An exceptional new addition in Sugarland area. The sweet and snack store exudes warmth and hospitality — the owners were genuinely welcoming, and the establishment was impressively well-staffed. The selection of sweets was fresh, beautifully presented, and crafted with evident care, offering a delightful balance of texture and flavor. The savory options — particularly the samosas and kachoris — were delicious and bursting with authentic taste, though slightly on the oily side. If the team could consider reducing the sugar content in the sweets just a touch, it would elevate an already wonderful experience to perfection. Overall, a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates quality Indian confections and snacks served with heart.

I had such a fantastic lunch at Gwalia Sweets & Restaurant recently. I went all-in on the street food classics. The Pav Bhaji was the ultimate comfort dish and it was amazing. I also ordered the Chole Kulche, which was equally exceptional. But the surprising highlight of all was trying the Chilli Cheese Momos. Wow! These were crispy on the outside, filled with wonderful, savory cheese, and tossed in a bright, spicy, and tangy sauce that had just the right amount of heat. The entire experience—from the consistently great food to the friendly service—earns a solid five stars. Gwalia is my new go-to for quality vegetarian Indian cuisine in Houston. Highly recommended!

I stopped by Gwalia in Sugar Land and was really impressed. The place is brand new and right now they’re serving a great variety of Indian sweets and snacks. I tried the rasmalai and rasgulla.. both were fresh, rich, and full of flavor. The samosas and kachoris were delicious too. They also have Diwali gift boxes that are beautifully decorated and make perfect presents. The staff were friendly and mentioned that a full food menu will be starting in November, so I’m definitely planning to come back. If you’re craving authentic Indian sweets and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the spot.

This was our first visit to Gwalia and we loved it. Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic flavors and freshness.

We ordered Ferrero Rocher, Kit Kat, Mango Mastani, and Cold Coco milkshakes, all with ice cream. Each was creamy, rich, and indulgent, especially the Mango Mastani (hands down best!) and Cold Coco, which brought back nostalgic Indian vibes.

For food, we had Pani Puri, Cheese Amritsari Kulcha, Khoya Kaju, Afghani Momos, Samosa Chaat, Malai Paneer, Naan, and Bhakhri Pizza. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The Khoya Kaju was creamy, Kulcha buttery and flavorful, and the Bhakhri Pizza had a great crunch!

Service was warm, quick, and attentive. The ambience was lively yet family-friendly — a perfect weekend spot for authentic Indian food lovers.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian street food, rich curries, or creative fusion dishes in Sugar Land, Gwalia is the place....

I stumbled upon this place on my way to the Fedex office next door. Curiosity got the better of me and I ventured inside. Unlike most Indian restaurants, this one had a nice open flow , with the snacks section on one side and the dining on the other. I found our from the owners they are a franchise based out of Gujarat. I got the choley Bhaturey and a Masala chai. The choley tasted authentic, it had the right spice level and tasted like the ones you get in India. The Bhatura was fluffy and not oily. The portion size was sufficient for a single person.. Rest of the menu looked good , I will come back and try some of the items. The ambience, service and quality of food all get high marks. I would highly...
