These are nuts. These are the best sweets in Sugar Land and may very well be one of the best in Houston.

You can tell how much time and effort has been put into developing the mochi, fillings, and flavor profiles with your first bite. The mochi itself is soft and the transition of the shell into the fillings is seamless. For folks that like a smoother mouth feel I recommend the Vanilla Cake, Dark Chocolate Truffle, and Strawberry Matcha. For those who prefer crispier textures, the crunchy mochi are great as well. The flavors are all excellent as well. They are pronounced but they do not overpower one another. Get here early because they run out quickly. Probably because I'm buying them haha. I wish I was joking :(

I've been here three or four times in the past week. I intended to write a review after this first time, but I had to return to verify that I'm not delusional at how good these are. And then one more time to confirm. I intended to include photos each time, but my mouth is a Tornado® Wide Area industrial vacuum. I'm at the point where I may aggressively seek vertical advancement in my career so I can afford more mochi along with a personal trainer and physician on retainer who can keep me alive longer so I can eat more mochi. I am sitting here eating mochi crying and laughing at the wonders of life.

Mochi so good you'll have an...

Just visited Lomichi and I’m already looking forward to my next trip! Their drinks are absolutely amazing full of flavor, texture, and creativity. We tried the Mango Sago with Diced Mango, the Mango Sago with Coconut Jelly, and the Mango Passion Fruit Mochi each one was delicious in its own way, fresh, and perfectly balanced. There’s so much more on the menu I’m excited to try!

The ambience is lovely, too cozy, and beautifully put together. I honestly couldn’t take my eyes off the decor.

Definitely a spot worth revisiting can’t wait to place my next order!

Update:

Went back to Lomichi today and tried a few more items and I’m so glad I did! The Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream was absolutely amazing. It comes topped with real sticky rice, which not only looks adorable but tastes so good. I honestly never thought I’d enjoy rice and ice cream together, but this combo was such a pleasant surprise definitely something unique and worth trying.

We also tried the Dubai Chocolate Mochi, which was rich and satisfying. I got the Mango Mochi again, and of course, my forever favorite the Mango Passion Fruit Mochi. Loved everything once again!

Still have a few more things left to try and I can’t...

I loved Mia's Goodies and have been waiting to finally get my hands on their mochi and cream puffs again with the rebranded Lomichi! Prices have unfortunately gone up so now they're about $3.25 per mochi and cream puff, and a lot of the old flavors for cream puffs are gone which were my favorite items from them. Coffee mochi was gone as well :(

Mochi: Milk tea- 5/5, if you like milk tea, this is super flavorful Truffle chocolate- 10/5, my favorite thing that I tried, super rich & decadent Passionfruit- 1/5 too sour for my liking Mango with passionfruit boba- 4/5, the boba was not necessary but I liked the mango filling Durian- 5/5, it's like I was eating a durian, it was stuffed Sesame- 4/5, not for everyone but again packed a very strong flavor Strawberry matcha- 2/5, not super flavorful and couldn't really taste the strawberry or matcha, wouldn't reorder Vanilla cake- didn't try but my friend said it was their favorite!

Cream puff- Chocolate: 5/5

Really hope they continue to...

Used to be known as Mia’s Goodies, it has rebranded itself with a new store name Lomichi. The store went through some months of renovation, and it looked totally different - pinkish and brighter. There was a longer case to display their goodies, and some of their items were the same. For example, the crunchy chocolate mochi, sesame peanut mochi, black sesame mochi, sago drinks, and cream puffs were still in their menu. Now they offered ice cream, and iced latte drinks too. I got their mochis and they were yummy just like before. There are no tables and chairs for seating in the revamped store, as compared to before. They are currently in their soft opening till June 7. Their grand opening is on June 8.

I recently visited this newly rebranded dessert shop and was blown away by their specialty ice creams! The flavors are creative, high-quality, and seriously delicious. The mango sticky rice flavor was a standout, topped with real sticky rice, it felt just like enjoying the traditional Thai dessert, both in taste and presentation. The Irish coffee was rich and bold, with just the right amount of sweetness. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into developing these flavors. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something unique and satisfying!
