I've been here once and that time I didn't think it was all that, so I decided to give it another try. I sent my bf ahead of me to order the food before I got there. I asked him to order me 4 tacos on corn torillas, 2 barbacoa and 2 fajita. When I get there, the waitress is bringing the food out. She said, " you ordered two chicken tacos and two barbacoa". I looked at him and then at her and I tell her "no, I wanted 2 fajita and 2 barbacoa". She then replied in such a rude way like I'm supposed to know, "we don't sell beef fajita here". At the time my bf ordered the food she didnt specify this to him and just assumed he was ordering chicken tacos. So I tell her it's fine I'll take the tacos. She then proceeds to put the plates on the table except for mine. I watch her go over to the cook and slam the plate and then walks right back to my table and brings me only the 2 barbacoa tacos. I ask her why did she take the chicken tacos off the plate and she responds in a rude way, "you said you didn't want them". I tell her, "no, I said it was fine i'll take them". Then she gets really snappy and says, "well it doesnt matter I took them off and I'm taking them off your tab too". So I tell her I'm ordering something else to replace my tacos and after I put in the order she goes back behind the counter and starts talking to her coworker pointing at us and mean mugging us. I would give her the benefit of the doubt if it werent for the fact my table was the only one there. I understand that working at a restaurant is stressful but it was noon time and the restaurant was dead. There was literally no reason why she should've been so rude with me. Maybe it's just this type of customer service thats driving the customers away. So when I finally receive the replacement item I ordered I was going to get a drink, I ask her for a mexican coke. When she brings me the coke it was opened already and when I took a sip, it was flat. I understand that they're imported and sometimes they can be flat but her behavior towards me leads me to beleive otherwise. I hope if anyone reading this review does end up going here, you get another waitress that isnt rude like this one was...
Read moreMy family and I decided to try out Mr.Trompo since it was recommended to us. Unfortunately it didn’t turned out as I expected. We walked in and the host didn’t speak or even made eye-contact and just told us to sit, but what made us uncomfortable was that my brother asked NOT ONLY ONCE, BUT TWICE!!! If we can join two tables since it was the six of us and the lady didn’t even try to accommodate or even answer the question that my brother had asked, but decided to ignore him and walked away but she and this other lady DID MIND GLARING AT HIM WITH A MALICIOUS FACE from a further distance throwing a strong dirty look towards us which made us feel very uncomfortable, Then by the time we were placing our order with this other host(Lady) my family and I noticed how the host kept giving my sister such an irritated look and she definitely lack of customer service skill due to her posture and her face expression. When the food arrived we tried giving this place a chance since it was our FIRST and will be the LAST TIME that we come to this place. The guacamole was very watery, they overstuffed the quesadillas with a lot of cheese, the coca-cola drinks that come in glass were not cold and the atmosphere is very depressing and the ladies didn’t show no gratitude or any good customer service. How about next time if the employee wants to deny a service to any customer they should at least do it in a professional way instead of just ignoring the customer, giving them any nasty looks, and should be more considerate that many people decide to spend their money and time here and should be grateful. I suggest to get it together or they will come across to a customer who will take it even further and it will look bad on...
Read moreThis is dreadful to write but it needs to be done. We have been a customer for well over 10 years and unfortunately over the course of those years it's become painfully obvious that food inflation has compromised the resturaunt. The portions are smaller and more expensive. Honestly this wouldn't be an issue if the quality was consistent but what we held onto that kept us coming back has finally plummeted as well. Our go to is normally trompo especial-used to be amazing today the tortilla was hard, as if it was reheated and the meat wasn't as flavorful. As if it couldn't disappoint more...we also got menudo and vapor tacos, for three large entrees we got two green salsas. TWO. Guys cmon who eats just half a 1 oz ramekin of salsa on their plate? We weren't happy rationing our salsa. Even watching budget each plate should get at least two. The menudo had good flavor but wasn't as hot and meaty as it normally is. The vapor tacos flavor lacked and we got skipped on meat, to make matters worse the tomato wasn't fresh.
I hate writing ugly reviews but I LOVED your resturaunt for the authentic flavor, the overall quality and consistency of each plate...the passion. Heck we even obsessed over your michelada mix and bought just to mix to go at staggered pricing. I'm hoping that you read this and not take it offensively but address the corners being cut that are effecting your overall product. Fine raise prices...but deliver quality meals, please. We honestly have one more go in us before we part ways, I'm sure other longterm customers feel the same.
Bring back the...
