EAT at your own risk!
Did a group order from Old Hickory Inn, one of the orders was for a Fancy – Vegetarian, No Bacon. An employee, who unfortunately did not know the difference between vegan and vegetarian wrote on our food “How are you eating Cheese and Butter?” After receiving my order, the 8000 S Hwy-6 location was immediately contacted. I was placed on a brief hold and then told by Miguel, the manager, I could Google the owner’s name and e-mail for a refund.
The manager did not acknowledge the risk to tampering with food (same hand writing, was on all the to-go boxes) nor any responsibility of the restaurant to not write unnecessary messages on the food. As a regular customer here, this was a very disappointing experience. Trash - $57.00 worth of food.
The Google search returned the owner as “Ted K*s.” but there was no e-mail listed. See the picture below.
UPDATE: Following another phone call and post, I was contacted by the administrator for all three Old Hickory Inn restaurants. She listened to the incident and understood why I felt the food was unsafe to consume. She understood the potential risks, reassured me they do monitor their restaurants via camera and informed me she would contact DoorDash for the issue to be resolved. She stayed in contact with me throughout the process ---this included multiple, lengthy calls to DoorDash over a few days as well as DoorDash calling me to confirm the details of the incident.
Long story short, the restaurant administrator’s attentiveness was superb. I hope the significance of this issue was appropriately addressed with the rude manager as well as any and/or all employees that work at...

Read moreI recently dined at eating at Old Hickory and had the pleasure of eating their chopped baked potato. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was exceptional and the prices were very reasonable.
The chopped baked potato was cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin and fluffy interior. It was topped with a generous amount of cheese, bacon, and chopped brisket making it a hearty and satisfying meal. The portion size was also very generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied.
What really stood out to me, however, was the excellent service I received. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure that my dining experience was enjoyable. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of.
And to top it all off, the prices at this restaurant were very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable the meal was, especially considering the high quality of the food and service.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal, great service, and reasonable prices. I will definitely be returning in the future to try more of their...
