Ever since McAlister's first opened, I've loved it. I would have given it a 4-5 star had I reviewed it sooner. But after what happened today, it has been demoted a star. First, me and my husband, who have just moved back to Texas, said we wanted McAlister's. He's never had their food so I told him to look at their menu and order over the phone. He did, and we went to pick it up, only to come back home and find that my sandwich had tomatoes on it. I'm allergic to tomatoes, so I couldn't eat it, but everyone has off days so I went on my way to the second order. This time, one of my family members went in person to order, and guess what? They forgot to put my sweet tea on my order. My family member also waited for the manager for 15 minutes before asking where he was, and turns out he had come out to the front to take a different person's complaint. I was an employee of this particular restaurant in Sulphur Springs. I loved my employees but the assistant manager, Mayra, is hateful to the employees as well as customers. My mother passed away last Wednesday and she told my coworkers that I lied about it to just call in. As far as the food, it's pretty good. My dad and sister brought me a sandwich To-go last night and it had a long hair in it. My family will not be supporting this location until the issue with the asst manager is addressed.
