Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Sulphur

DO NOT GO. First visit ordered their new cookie jar shake with no cherry due to a severe allergy. They bring it out with a cherry simply asked it to be remade due to said allergy. Got home and had a vanilla shake instead...Called the manager, the woman on shift was very sweet and took down my name for a free one when I came back in. Tonight went back in to get it and ordered some food. Food came out and I of course asked where my shake was and she had no clue what I was talking about and went for her manager no big deal. Manager comes out to confirm and then brings me my shake, leaves before even confirming it is correct, and my shake doesn't even look right still, doesn't have whipped cream so when I went to ask for whipped cream he started to apologize because normally if someone asks for no cherry they do not want whipped cream...I didn't ask for no whip though and had stated the cherry was due to a food allergy so never just assume. Plus he had a stuck up attitude which I didn't appreciate. I will not be returning I live on Ruth but I will drive over to city service or head to Lake Charles, or even deridder before I eat there again. Need nicer staff, staff who understands the importance of food allergies, and in general more aware...

Normally there is quick service but the last couple times I've brought my family, the food we ordered came out cold. The person taking our order was very impatient. She either did not knw the menu or was not trained long enough to be ready to take orders bc she could not answer any of our questions and overcharged us on drinks during happy hour. The food is also over priced. I like the concept of sonic. I also like the food and different variety drinks and icecream. Ordering from ur vehicle and either sit at a table outside ur car or in ur car, but for the service and the price it's not worth going. Pricing issues would really not even b a complaint if the service was at least decent while placing ur order and receiving ur order. Instead of them automatically acting as if u owe them a tip just for walking food to ur car they should come around and check on the customers in order to earn said tip. I have been in the food industry as a server fur quite some time and I'm fully aware of what needs to b done in order to earn a tip and its way more than just dropping off an order. These car hopps get paid a lil over minimum wage and automatically expect to b tipped .. that's ridiculous. If its earned than by all means but it should...

I can't really give an honest review being that it reflects the establishment as a whole and not specifically the shift that served me tonight. There have been times that the food wasn't that great and thats only been at that weird time of the day that's to late to be a late lunch but to early for dinner at the same time. As it goes for the evening shift seeing as that the usual time I stop I have no complains. The food was fresh and hot, carhop was polite and friendly. It's not so fast, fast food but that's to be expected and it does not negatively affect the way I look at sonic...
