El Tapatio Mexican Cocina & Bar — Restaurant in Sulphur

Why is this place fantastic? Why is the food always PERFECT? Why aren’t they ever busy? Seriously I do not understand why they aren’t jammed packed every single day. It’s so good. I always get the steak mini street tacos with tomatillo salsa and a chile relleno on the side. I’ve brought everyone I know here. Excellent every single time. Service is great, restaurant is very very very clean , and it’s the most reasonably priced restaurant in this town. Hands down the best Mexican food we have in Sulphur, La rumba wishes they were 1% as tasty as el tap. If you have not been or you’re passing through, you better get over here quick. Absolutely wonderful. Queso 10/10, salsa 12/10, tacos 10/10, service 10/10

Let’s get to the food! The salsa is delicious with a nice hint of cilantro while offering a warm sensation (not for people who don’t like spice) Never fear, their queso will definitely hit the spot for you. This morning we visited this restaurant and we ordered water but to our surprise our waiter asking us if certain if we wanted the water that the water they serve there was not good and ask "have you ever had Louisiana water I wouldn't drink it" while the food was okay, the rice was undercook I was extremely disappointed with the manager's behavior. After our waiter gave us incorrect information about a dish, I ask to speak with the manager to sort out this confusion the manager became rude and began speaking negatively about us while we were still within earshot.
