Rouge Room — Restaurant in Summerlin South

Beware waitresses will try to scam you! I have to say I have been to this place a few times and the only time I ever had excellent service or experience, and nothing go wrong was when we came under the invitation of a Red Rock executive, who personally made a reservation for us and set us up there for our group following a negative experience on a birthday party. We decided to have another birthday party after a year there yesterday since place was under new ownership and had a decent band playing and great deals for groups of girls with more than 10 ladies, the evening was going pretty well although after 2 of us were leaving the party early we asked to pay our check and it took the waitress from the time she took our cards to pay the bill an hour and half to get the check back for signing. A few hours later received a call from my best friend the waitress Pamela was trying to say we didnt pay our bill and after we submitted our receipts showing proof of payment the waitress Pamela tried to further scam my friends and change her story to say that our other friends ordered the same thing which was not true as we know exactly what we ordered and who was drinking what and since we are older mature group of ladies and not 21 somethings we were not drunk to forget and know what was going on and two of us are experienced hosts doing most of the ordering and keeping track. The birthday girl to avoid any further drama and escalation ended up paying the double charge. Love the ambiance, and the drinks in the place but service is still not good can take a long time for service orders, waitresses can forget orders or requests, even when you make reservations you may be waiting 20 minutes to get sat, and most importantly be scammed by the staff especially if they think you and your group are drunk and not aware. So make sure to be aware of your check or you might be paying double charged or paying for someone else's check or charged a large tip you were not banking for. Typically, I’m not one to write reviews, but having two consecutively bad experiences, Rouge Room has really just let me down.

My first experience was on a Saturday night. I had a reservation for 1045 for four guests. We were not sat until approximately 30 minutes after. Once we were at the table, they was little to no attention paid to our group by the cocktail server. We ordered two plates the food, which came very cold and took 30 mins. One of the guests in my group ordered a lemon drop martini, which came out TWICE with salt on the rim not sugar.

After complaining on the mess up, since we were charged for the ruined martini, the manager was quite apologetic and comped the food/lemon drop. Despite the mistake trying to be rectified, it ruined what was supposed to be a special night.

I decided to give Rouge Room another chance, due to management’s comp, but it was another awful experience. Came on a Saturday night, again. I was sat almost immediately without reservations, which I appreciate. We were walked over to the table to which the hostess stopped us in the middle of walking and said our table was given away. It quite an awkward experience as we waited to be sat again.

The worst part of the night was that after putting in orders for two drinks they did not come until 45 minutes after placing the order. The only explanation as to why our drinks never came out, was that the order was forgotten, which was frustrating as a guest that I was trying to give the lounge another chance. The cocktail waitress, then brought our drinks out, spilling some of one on the table. She was apologetic for the wait time and brought out a free dessert, but we were still charged for these cocktails that were sent out extremely late.

This was quite frustrating after trying to give this place another chance. I don’t think I’ll be coming back and hope management improves...

I was looking forward to a great experience at the Rouge Room but that did not happen, it was just the opposite. We tried all day to make a reservation for a party of 5 people, but the open table app would not allow any reservations from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Then we tried to call to make a reservation to, again not available. So, we decided to take a chance, and try to get a reservation in person. When we arrived at 5:40pm, we asked the hostess for a reservation and I went to explain that we tried to make a reservation online but could not, the hostess gave us nothing but excuses as to why the online all wasn't working but said she could make one for our party, I asked her how long the wait was and if it was more than an hour? She said the table would be available at 6:15pm. She said she would text us when the table was ready, and we could just wait at one of the bars. Looking around the lounge there were plenty of open seating available when we walked in. However, 6:15 went by and we went back to ask about the reservation then she said, " Oh they're cleaning one for you now." Another 30 minutes went by and still no table. We did have drinks at the back bar and that experience was good and the drinks were a little pricey. We did not order any food and left after 1 round of drinks. There are so many more establishments that provide really great lounge experiences I'll spend my mom on those pleases. I would not recommend this bar to anyone who wants to have a fun experience.
