Captain D's — Restaurant in Summerville

My boyfriend and I went here last night! They were very much packed inside, as well as the drive through! After awhile we ordered our food, and went to get our drinks. They were out of sweet tea, so I had to go to the counter to get it. They were still busy, but still made time for me! I sat down, and they brought us a food, and he apologized for our wait (which wasn't even 5 mins.) They were a bit skimpy on the sides I felt like, but our food was really good! I ate all mine, and my boyfriend ate most of his. We had to go back up to the counter for another drink, and they two guys were both very nice and were getting it for us! They both stayed calm and were very polite the entire time! They even gave us coupons!Also, the people before we ordered didn't know what they wanted and there were about 10 of them, and he stayed super calm the entire time! A+++ for them! It was so cold in the lobby where you dine in that my food was cold before I could get more than a couple bites. We sat in a booth it was across from the drink machine in the lobby and it was definitely an eyesore. There was black puddle underneath the drink machine that was at least a couple inches deep. That mess looked like the next pandemic. I ordered fish and fries and I got fish and shrimp and they told me that's what it comes with but because they give me shrimp I didn't get the two pieces that normally comes with the fish and fries. They wouldn't fix it. My boyfriend ordered a fish sandwich plain and it came with tartar sauce on it. The fish that I did get the batter wasn't cooked all the way so it was really thick and soggy and greasy. The only thing that was good was the Oreo cheesecake and it's pre-packaged. Patient, Fresh, some Flavor Advice

Amid the COVID pandemic, I wonder how many were working at the time. I've been to a location In which only 2 people were working. This D was working in the similar fashion so I wonder if they have the same dilemma. It was a long line but I did not have to wait considerably long.

She was patient when I did not know exactly what I wanted to order. I appreciated that. Also I changed my sides at the second window and she was understanding.

The food was incredibly fresh and hot so I know they are cooking to order. The only gripe is the rice. It was bland with no seasoning.
