Bay Sushi — Restaurant in Sunnyvale

Just tried this Sushi spot for the first time. My wife and I got one fancy roll, one spicy tuna roll, a miso soup, a shrimp tempura udon for around $40. I find this to be a bit on the expensive side for the quality given there is no happy hour type pricing like many other sushi spots.

Food wise: -Spicy Tuna was good and fresh but had a small amount of fish -The red dragon roll was good but was smoothered with mayo (and I don't remember the description mentioning Mayo) -The shrimp tempura udon broth was super bland. It probably needs more salt. They should also serve the tempura on the side so it's not served already soggy

Service was very quick and attentive, but given the food was just OK, I'd suggest skipping this strip mall sushi spot until they up...

The previous reviews aren't an exaggeration, they really make you feel like family here. The service was the best I've had in a very long time!

I absolutely love the decor. All the plants, hanging lights and art really makes this small space cozy instead of cramped. They dont have many tables but everything is really fast so I didn't see anyone have to wait for a table.

Terrific neighborhood Japanese restaurant located in the Hollenbeck strip mall. Very good, unpretentious basic meals. Nice variety of dishes. Surprisingly the Teriyaki beef & chicken are not their best dishes-your warned. Always order the bento box because of the great combos depending on your mood.
