Update: I finally got to try the Bacon Cheeseburger, it’s on the lunch menu which is available after 10:30 am. It was a good, hefty lunch! I like being able to bite into sandwiches, and this burger was stacked just right. However, the assembly could be improved, I think. The top bread tended to slip off. It could be because of the lettuce. Maybe if they put the lettuce as the base for the burger patties, it might not slip as much. Aside from that, The Bacon Cheeseburger is big on flavor. It’s a great meal, good heavy lunch, any day. One of the best in town.
A Dose of Sunshine in Sunnyvale
I rarely write a review upon first visit, but Keke’s is an exception. I saw an ad for Keke’s on Google, and I readily asked my wife to go on a breakfast date, and I’m glad we did! Usually I’d order a basic menu item, e.g. a burger from a burger joint, or a taco from a taco stand. From this I can more or less tell if their other fare would be something I would come back for. In a breakfast place, omelettes would be one of the basic savory items. I got the cheese steak omelette, while my wife ordered the Greek variant. Both omelettes come with a bunch of home fries and two whole toasts (wheat if I’m not mistaken). The first forkful already set Keke’s apart. FLAVOR! Other omelettes we’ve had from other brunch restaurants may be as hefty, but they disappoint in the flavor category. Keke’s omelettes have that perfect savory goodness for a morning meal, hint of ketchup or a drop of hot sauce will give enough tartness to wake your taste buds. Most other establishments are beige in flavor and I usually put dollops to enhance the taste if you get what I mean. I would definitely come back and try the other offerings on the menu. Now here’s the other thing. Service is great! At the top of this review, I said “a dose of sunshine…” I really meant Shyla, our server. Her effervescence made our day at the initial hello, and by complimenting my wife that morning. Service was friendly, and efficient. Thanks to the kitchen staff as well for the good comfort food, and to the other servers who were very attentive to all the customers. People will try a new place for the food, but what makes them come back is the service. The vibe in Keke’s is casual chic. It’s bright, with vibrant art on the walls. The music is lively and appropriately adjusted for conversing over coffee. Parking is available in the building. Come early though, we got there around 10am, by the time we left, there was already a line a line outside; and cars were parked on Mathilda Ave. Keke’s Breakfast Cafe is the latest addition to my happy places! To name a few others, there’s Marufuku Ramen, Howie’s Artisan Pizza, and Disneyland. So come and visit, and I hope you have as great an...

Keke’s Breakfast Café is hands down one of the best breakfast spots we’ve ever been to, easily making our top three. We visited twice over Father’s Day weekend and had a fantastic experience both times. The food was consistently delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and well-kept.
On Father’s Day, there was a 30-minute wait, which we didn’t mind at all. It was clear this place is popular for a reason. When our table was ready, we were seated quickly and warmly greeted by our server. The coffee was fresh and flavorful, and our cups were always full without having to ask.
We enjoyed a wide variety of dishes between the two visits, and everything we ordered exceeded expectations. On the first day, we had the Western omelet filled with fresh green bell peppers, ham, onions, and cheddar, served with perfectly toasted sourdough. We also tried the sausage and cheese omelet with their home fries and a toasted bagel. The home fries, made from sliced potatoes, were fresh, crisp, and seasoned just right.
One item we couldn’t resist ordering both times was the chocolate chip waffle. It was perfectly cooked, generously packed with chocolate chips, and came with fluffy scrambled eggs and flavorful breakfast sausage. It’s now a go-to favorite for us.
The eggs Benedict was another standout. The hollandaise sauce had just the right balance of buttery richness without being overly lemony, and the Canadian bacon was excellent. As for the French toast, my wife said it was so perfect it has ruined French toast for her at any other restaurant. It had the ideal blend of cinnamon flavor, crisp edges, and soft center.
Prices at Keke’s are very fair, especially considering the generous portions and high quality. The retro-style decor gives the place charm, and the space is kept clean and comfortable. The service was quick and friendly on both visits, adding to the overall great experience.
If you're anywhere near Sunnyvale and love breakfast, Keke’s is a place you absolutely need to try. Highly...
Read moreCame in for Lunch on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all, which was perfect for a Mom date. My girlfriend and I love getting our mom's together as they always have a fun time when they go places with us. So it only made sense to get lunch with them here at Keke's as it was new and on our radars for awhile.
Our server was Esteban and man does he know his stuff. Most places when you ask them what they recommend they give a crash course on what's overall good; but don't get into details. Esteban went ABOVE AND BEYOND explaining everything he's actually tried and what's good and what our flavor profile was feeling that day.
Started off with drinks and we got an Espresso Martini which was a first for me and it's true when people say a good one will make you want more. So we ordered more. On top of that we also got Milk & Cereal which was a mom favorite as they got more of those. (Tip: They can also make these drinks as Mocktails if it's too early to drink LOL)
On to the food, we all mostly got breakfast foods such as French Toast, Waffles and Omelettes. While my girlfriend got a BLT with Scrambled Eggs. These portions were huge and honestly it was such a fun time for all of us mixing an matching and sharing dishes so we could try a bit of everything. The amount of fruit that came on my Florida Waffles were insane and the fruits on them were definitely fresh. My mom really enjoyed the french toast as it was really fluffy and it wasn't too sweet. My girlfriend loved that Esteban made the recommendation to add an egg to her BLT and it was exactly what she was looking for. Love how accommodating this place is and the server's recommendations.
This location is really nice and can see myself bringing my friends and family here for a nice breakfast or lunch. Like even the interior screams modern touch with a genuine homey feel that customers are sure to feel after...
