Seto Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Sunnyvale

We love supporting NEW local businesses in the area, and we're offering some suggestions in the spirit of trying to help you guys succeed. Here are some of the glitches we ran into during our first attempt to order from your restaurant. Overall, the food was good, but @mgmt, it was painful trying to give you our business, and we think you could increase your revenue by implementing a few suggestions below:

1. Google maps didn't show the menu, so we had to go to Yelp .
2. Yelp had a the link to your menu. The Yelp listing said you guys were closed during normal business hours, but you were actually open. .
3. It was nearly impossible to have a phone conversation, due to a very poor connection (suggest changing to a landline for ordering so that you and your customers can hear one another). .
4. the menu had lots of typos and grammar errors (maybe run your menu through ChatGPT to check it for errors before the next re-print) .
5. ON the food front: the batter on the fish could use a bit more seasoning (the fish was a little bland, and the fries needed salt) .
6. for your signature "fish and chips", maybe you could give your customers a side of shrimp cocktail dressing? (that's a tastier choice for than vinegar or mayo)

Seto Fish & Chips 107 W Maude Ave Sunnyvale, CA 94085

I went there for lunch on a Tuesday. There's lots of parking around the buildings. It's a clean, order counter and table setup.

I ordered and paid for a #8 Fish, Clams and Chips at the counter and it was promptly brought to my table with Ketchup, tartar sauce and malt vinegar packet. The fish was very good with a crispy batter coating and moist. The tartar sauce was also good. The clams had too much batter so I couldn't really taste the clams. The fries were plentiful but on the soggy side and could probably be improved at home with an air fryer.

This was the soft opening, so some rough spots were expected. I would definitely go back. There is no table service, you order at the cash register. Punching in the order was a bit slower than expected, this is likely to improve with experience. The scallops were undercooked. It might have been better to leave them off the menu for the soft opening. The fish was really good. If we had just ordered the fish, my initial review would have been higher. the fish comes with a generous helping of fries. Everything comes with all the expected condiments for a chippy.
