This place has the potential to be absolutely amazing, however, like many parks in the Bay area it has already succumbed to the negative effects of inconsiderate and selfish people who care not about sharing clean and safe places for others. Today we took our 2 year old here for the first time and ran into not only 1, but 2 very large puddles of diarrhea inside the children's play house (bottom and top level). If having to teach our toddler to avoid human fecal matter at a playground wasn't enough, it's also completely covered in all sorts of trash, litter, and abandoned clothes you are forced to navigate around as well. Perhaps my standards are too high for public parks anymore, but it's extremely sad that simply hoping a children's park to not have human fecal matter and mounds of trash somewhere in it has now become an unrealistic expectation. Ah yes, and the bathrooms, as to be expected, were absolutely disgusting (fecal matter on the walls, dirty diapers and wipes on the changing tables, etc.) Some of the redeeming factors about this location: Many nice families and kids there trying to enjoy a nice time at the park. Lovely soccer/baseball fields 3 full basketball courts that were well taken care of. All the playground equipment, with the exception of cleanliness, was in good working condition. Hopefully something can be done about the state of the park, as it is a huge shame to see something so new already in such a state, but what a wonderful space it would be if people could be considerate of others and clean up...
Read moreWe love this playground, it has ample space to accommodate a lot of people. There are a lot of shaded areas so kids and parents can hide from the sun. It has a toddler section but a bit far from the main areas, it has slides, a water fountain for playing and one for drinking, swings, a theater, and some accesible machines for exercise. It’s all gated so super convenient for kids to run around without the danger of getting to the streets unsupervised. There are restrooms outside the gated area and 2 zones for parking, that’s a lot. There’s also a lot of picnic tables next to the toddler section. Definitely one of our...
Read moreThe new Magical Bridges Playground has been open at Fair Oaks Park for about a month now and it's a lovely place for children of all abilities. Like their previous locations, this Magical Bridges Playground is laid out in different zones (playhouse/stage zone, tots zone for smaller kids, spin and slide zone, and swing and fitness zone) as well as adding an interactive water fountain play area. All the "grass" is artificial turf. There is lots of seating available but the area can get hot as there are not as many shaded areas. There is a restroom located outside as well. Overall a fun park...
