I had a very unfortunate experience here today. I ordered my drink like normal on the app but it sent it to Morgan Hill where I live. I saw no refund option so I can reorder, so I called Sunnyvale Maude Starbucks. I let them know my situation and asked if I could tell them my drink over the phone so it could be ready by the time I get their. Also show them the recipe proof at that time. They said they were too busy and I can show them when I get their.
Totally unhelpful. The app makes refunds near impossible you can not change the location after the fact, and no option like Chipotle to make 1hour later so I could order from home when I am not driving. They also gave me only half full and it was not soy. To top it off it was a last min request from my boss who was not happy.
I called to let them know about the situation and they hung up on me. I was hoping for it to be remade. I will be going to El camino and Matilda from now on. I have been working at Amazon for over a year and this used to be my Starbucks. This was insane behavior.
That aside they have always had incredibly fast service. Please Starbucks make your app safer for us...
Read more5 stars for the employees! They are always working rushes understaffed and I understand why it can be a wait for even a small order. Apparently, some don't though. I overheard some customers speaking quite rudely to one of the baristas about the wait and commenting that she had bad customer service. She was clearly running around helping other employees and was helping another customer change her order. First of all, if you're so upset about waiting, sitting there to complain once she can take your order is holding the rest of us up even more, how annoying and inconsiderate. Secondly, they are visibly struggling due to the volume of orders coming in as the poor kids never have enough hands on deck during busy hours. Complaining to the barista about the wait isn't going to do squat. Take the problem up with management and take it up properly because there is clearly some sort of management problem if they are almost always shorthanded. Hope they sort this...

these are excellent questions. i can answer the second one. i, thinking that i had a coffee meeting with a colleague (on what i keep thinking is thursday; see unanswered question #1), moseyed on over to this starbucks a little early, to ensure sweet seating and the kind of peace that comes from knowing you're not the one standing at the door looking around for someone.
upon reaching the register (yogurt parfait in hand), it was brought to my attention several times, by several people behind the counter, that my shirt was deserving of acknowledgement (check out: busted tees, double unicorn). the new my little pony was discussed; pointing out the tiny unicorn growing out of the other unicorn's head blew some minds; and we all parted in a content and entertained manner.
