Located in walking distance from the Sawgrass Mall, this is one of our favorite McDonald’s! We have been coming here for almost three decades. In fact, my little ones played in their playplace when they visited grandma from Texas. Today, they are grown adults with children of their own but we still love coming by or through!
So, how much fun was it for me on this visit? It was super fun to discover that for a limited time, they are offering Happy Meals for adults, which is arguably different than adult happy meals (haha).
You can choose from either nuggets or a Big Mac. I chose the Big Mac sans lettuce (ofc) and with my usual extra sauce on the side. My daughter had the nuggets. As far as the drinks, it was a regular Coke for me and she switched to a Hi-C from a Dr. Pepper because it was flat.
Besides the fries, the HaPpY Meal comes with a “Cactus Plant Flea Market” four-eyed toy which can be any of the McDonald's classic mascots: Grimace, Hamburglar or Birdie, or maybe you get the popular Cactus Buddy. I’m not familiar with the CPFM but my daughter tells me it’s a streetwear favorite brand for many celebrities.
Despite all the hoopla in the news that employees want customers to stop ordering these meals, the drive-thru employees here were extraordinarily patient and I also got to round up for the “new house that love built” (RMHC®) to accommodate even more children from the...
Read moreI would NOT recommend this branch to ANYONE! We stood at the counter for several minutes before the Manager came to take our order. She was polite but impatient with my senior relative who had questions about the food options. She then showed us the automated kiosk that I guess we should know how to use even though we were visiting from abroad. She eventually put in our order and left another employee (tall slim female with blonde weave) - Employee A) to complete the order. Got the order in bags (with no napkins) even though we said we're dining in. Employee A looked sour when I asked her for 2 trays. Got to our table and realized the juice wasn't in it. Went back. Employee A was visibly annoyed and got it with an attitude. My senior relative realized her sandwich was wrong and when she went to the counter Employee A LITERALLY stamped her foot at her as if "You AGAIN??!", then told her they were out of muffins and substituted instead. My relative chewed her out for her rudeness and the Manager was nowhere to be seen. Anywhere else Employee A would have been suspended because her behavior was unwarranted. I guess when you're foreign AND black you don't deserve good service at some places. The food was typical for McDonald's. Good riddance...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Manager seems to think McDonalds is the only food option. Went in for lunch with my boys and went to register to order. Manager directed me to the self serve kiosk. Told him I’d prefer to place my order with a person and was told kiosk wa stage only option. Maybe if food was cheap enough I would have complied. But at an average $20 cost for a visit to McDonalds, I expect I can be served a little better. We don’t work for our food. We simply walked out and went somewhere else and had a great meal.
However ….. The expectation should not be that the customer “HAS TO” go to your kiosk, which is super tedious and time consuming for a family of three. And, more importantly was the attitude of this guy which ultimately will not work there very long. How dare you? I hope the owner of this franchise is reading this post, so they are not surprised if their business begins suffering. I will certainly never be going back there. I encourage others to not allow restaurants to relinquish their obligation to service the customer in the name of technology so they can hire less employees, make you work for them, and wait longer to get your meals. SHAME ON YOU FOR TREATING CUSTOMERS...
