If you guys want a genuine review that ain’t a bot or has been bought this is it right here. I came into this place with my girl expecting good things based off the reviews I saw 4.8 stars and figured it must be good but it’s on me for ignoring the first few signs for one, the place was practically empty but one table furnishing is cheap and the chair wasn’t completely level and table also wobbled a bit, chef decided to seat us at a table with stained table cloth which is fine, it is what it is. I ordered the beef slider, ceaser salad, and two Hawaiian ribeyes. Beef sliders were probably the best thing we ate pretty juicy and solid flavor however there was maybe a sprinkle of cheese you could barely taste and the patties had a bit of over char I’d give it a 7/10 the ceaser salad felt like someone rinsed it off in slightly warm tap water before plating it for one it was shredded so less crunch and crispiness especially if they’re washing it before serving it was a bit warm and nothing special but it’s the wetness that kills the salad for me. Finally the ribeye I saw a pic of it and I was like that looks really good but when I received the food I was a bit confused because it looks very different then what google has for one the mashed potatoes are solid but definitely lacks salt and butter it was just bland the steak though felt like it was pre cooked on a flat top and then given char marks with a metal line maker there was zero taste of a grill being used and it felt like it was microwaved the steaks had no crust no sense of butter or garlic anything that makes a good steak what it is instead it felt flimsy there still big pieces of tendon left over and the sweet glaze on top just cheapens the steak all together. You’re better off hitting up a Texas Roadhouse if you want steak. Now I won’t say everything is bad because I didn’t try everything so I won’t speak on what I don’t know but overall it just feels like they prioritize being cost effective over having quality food and dining experience. I really was hoping the food would be bomb but I was dissapointed that I had to get full off of something honestly mid let alone I spent 114 with tax for overcharged food that felt like they just don’t care to be honest. I ate most of my food because I was taught not to waste anything but man is there room for improvement if you’re thinking about eating here I really hope you get a better experience then I did I will say though excellent hospitality the owner is very kind I just wish the food matched...
Read moreAs much as I wanted to love this place to say that I was throughly disappointed, it would be an understatement.
I don't know if it's the social media influencer or paid foodie review effect, but I was left completely underwhelmed and left extremely disappointed paying a $177 bill for 2 meals that went in the trash.
I ordered a medium well ribeye, the ribeye that came to the table was the absolute worst steak I've had. The steak was charred, well done, overcooked, and had a peculiar aftertaste that was extremely distasteful. The steak was accompanied with cold Mash potatoes (flavorful but cold cold). After expressing my dissatisfaction to the owner and chef. I was informed that there's a thin line between medium and well done and that's the risk. Excuse me... okay bet, remove it from the table and my bill kindly. They insisted that I try another steak or something else on the menu but I was already disconnected and uninterested.
My daughter ordered the Conch (Lambi) fried ($45). While it lacked flavor and could've fried a little harder, it probably was the most appetizing dish that made it to the table. The black rice that was to accompany the conch did not come to the table until 30 minutes after the conch as did the rice for the griot that my cousin ordered.
The griot was ordered fried soft, it came out harder than the table, flavorful but legit harder than the table.
The chef personally recommended his Strawberry Henny drink, we asked if we could swap the Hennessy for tequila as we aren't cognac drinkers. Chef informed us that there would be an upcharge because they only have the "good" stuff, Don Julio (right). I won't consider what we had as a cocktail so I'll refer to it as a "drink", our drink rang up on our bull for $28 each!!
After paying my $177 I left the restaurant thinking it had to be a bad night for them and I'd give them another try, I woke up feeling differently. I'm sure I won't try this place again.
