Came here to watch The Martian on a Friday night at 7:25PM. I had already reserved the tickets online and wanted to exchange my tickets from Thursday night to Friday night, but they can't do the exchange over the phone or online because I used a promo code, so I went in-person on a Wednesday afternoon around 2:30PM to get the exchange done. The place felt quiet and empty. I was the only person in line. Customer Service was good. The girl did what she could to exchange my tickets, including going over to the manager to get permission. There is a banner hanging outside that says this place just opened. It's my first time going to this theater and I chose it because of the good reviews. I also notice on their website that they have recliner seats too (that's new to me!), so I was curious to experience it all. I told my date about this and he said he didn't care except watch the movie with me, that is, until he saw the seats in-person (more about this later). We arrived around 7:15PM and the theater lobby is now bustling with people. There is a line of about 10 people for tickets. I walked past the girl collecting tickets because I didn't see her and almost reached the theater room had I not stopped because I was confused where to show my tickets and get the 3D glasses. They really need to do something about making it more obvious about where to enter if you already have a ticket. The lobby is very small and the theater room seems smaller than the bigger theaters, but it felt clean (I did have to sweep a crumb off my chair seat) overall, extremely spacious, and nice. Our seats are already chosen and reserved in advance. As we sat in our recliner seats, my date was in love. He was surprised that the seats were this nice (they're super plush, spacious, and leathery feel) and can recline with your legs outstretched. And even with the legs outstretched, there is still room for people to walk by in front. That's how spacious and nice this theater was! This was a whole new, premium theater experience and we really love it. My date wants to come back again; that's how much he loves it. I have and would highly recommend coming here to watch a movie, if not to experience watching a movie in a plush...
Read moreOne year later and this place is disappointing. I've watched the branch go down. Could not give it more than 1 star. It is so unkempt. Do they clean this branch? Popcorn on the floor everywhere, even seating areas. While I understand that there are people who have no home training who come to the cinema and leave it looking like a pig pen, something needs to be done to at least clean up between shows. I can see the cleaning crew tries to clean the theaters between shows, but the lobby is almost always looking horrific. I watched a movie for over 1 hr and I come out and see even more popcorn on the floor where you purchase food. They are understaffed as well. What is the point of being an A lister if the side for A listers has no-one to serve food. You ask for a manager and no one turns up. There's 1 person manning the section where food is sold and it was so untidy. Food on the floor, food on the counters. While the line grew, people grew more frustrated with the wait time. When the lady who finally showed up to serve A listers, the guy who was serving the other line had already tried to pick up the slack and she continued to move slower than a turtle. The bathrooms are so untidy. Floor is wet in the ladies bathroom and someone could easily fall. No soap in the dispensers tonight, but that seems to happen often based on my experience. You either can't get soap or tissue and the tissue bin is sometimes overflowing on a busy night. The carpet reeks. AMC seriously, what are you waiting on before you rip it out. Some of the seats have rips or aren't working. The only thing id give 5 stars for is the fact that I can watch 3 movies per week. AMC I wouldn't be mad at you if you closed this branch temporarily for a good cleaning and a few upgrades. It needs it desperately. Do better AMC, please do better. This is a poor reflection of what I am use to. You...
Read moreIt is my husbands birthday today and he wanted to go see the new Indiana Jones movie. Figured we would try amc because they advertise a full bar and upgraded experience. Bad choice. Once we arrived we went to the bar to get a glass of wine. We were told they did not have a bartender and the manager could help us but we were only allowed to get bottled beer. Why would amc hire a MANAGER that has no clue how to even serve a simple glass of wine, draft beer, or liquor. We debated on staying, but already paid for the tickets and got a couple beers. Go into the theater and no joke, it smelled like pee. It was really bad! An hour and a half into the movie, I went to get a second round of beers. Wait at the bar for a few minutes while being ignored And finally asked someone to help me. Manager again who can’t serve alcohol. Great. Order the same beers and she tells me the credit card machine won’t work. I ask if she can ring it up at another register and she says she can’t. How is someone so incompetent being paid to run a movie theater? How does she manage people including a bartender (that did not exist today)? Why does the theater smell like pee? There are multiple theaters within a five mile radius from us. We will never come back to AMC. I feel bad I ruined my husbands birthday by taking him here. ...
