My family and I went in for dinner and we were seated at a sticky table. We asked what the buffet price was because the menu only states "market price". The host ignored the question and instead told us our server would be with us shortly. When the server came over she was very short with us in greeting. We finally received the answer as to the buffet price. Although I do understand that the market proce for Seafood varies and is expensive their buffet cost is way too much for the type of service this place provided. Lastly I had gastric bypass and therefore cannot eat huge amounts of food. If I got the buffet I may have been able to eat a plate of food but most likely would not have been able to finish one plate since eating too much or too fast will make me sick. So I informed her I had gastric bypass and asked if I would be able to have the kids buffet price. She told me no I had to pick from a separate menu. My family and I came to the seafood buffet to have the buffet options if I wanted a seafood entree I would have gone somewhere else, we came for the buffet and the many food options. I was told my only choice was to pay the huge buffet price or get a meal off the menu. I have never been to any buffet anywhere that didn't honor a child's buffet price for a gastric bypass patient. In all reality a child would probably eat more than I would have been able to eat. So in conclusion I went out with my family and because there was no way I was going to eat no more than one plate of food from the buffet and pay that insane "market price". Since the option given to me was not what my family and I came for and the option dictated to me made me feel very much discriminated against, I left. I went grocery shopping and bought a frozen pizza for dinner. I was very hungry and my family had already started getting their buffet food so they had to finish eating their fill so they weren't throwing money away for nothing. Thank you Crabby Mike's for ruining dinner with my son on his...
Read moreDelicious! There are so many Seafood Buffets in Myrtle Beach. After reading the reviews I am so glad we decided to drive down to Surfside and try Crabby Mikes for the first time. The place is so inviting. Upon arriving we were greeted to a door opening for us to arrive. Food was stunning! Fresh, Warm, Flavorful and a plethora of Amazing food to choose from. Even down to the picky kids. The waiter was fantastic (Tommy Coyle). He greeted us pleasantly. Informed us of anything and everything that we needed to know. Answered my questions before I had a chance to even think of them. Constantly checked on us, always had a smile, brought plates and cleared the table as the evening went. Didn't bother us with silly questions. He was on point and took care of us perfectly. Mind you while doing the same for his other tables that came in. We were a table of 5. 2 adults, a 2 yr Old with disabilities, a 3 yr. Old, and a 10 yr. Old with an appetite. If anyone out there knows the life of a family with children that have any kind of disability, or anxious kiddos enjoying some much needed away time. Then you know what a struggle it can be sometimes to go out anywhere and try to enjoy a lovely meal. Crabby Mikes never turned a nose up at us. It was a great feeling. After finishing our meal. We cashed out, tipped out waiter and proceeded to exit. I was following behind my family. I stopped and thanked the lovely hosts for the great meal and headed out the door. The door that was now being held by the other hostess and not my husband. Wishing me a wonderful evening. Wow!.. My last day on vacation was made just by eating delicious fresh seafood at Crabby Mikes. Do Not let the price scare you away!! It's worth every penny!! I'd actually say worth a lot more.... Thank You to the crew that worked today to give our family a wonderful experience 03/04/19!!! Later this year when we visit Myrtle Beach. We will see you again!! 10 Star Rating if I could! Loved every minute of...
Read moreKrabby Mike’s Calabash Seafood Buffet in South Myrtle Beach is definitely one of the most popular all-you-can-eat seafood buffets in the area, and after visiting, I can see why. The buffet had a huge selection, with highlights being the macaroni and cheese, which was creamy and delicious, and the fried chicken, which was crispy, flavorful, and a standout. The crab legs were wonderful—hot, fresh, and easy to crack, which is always a plus at a seafood buffet. They even had prime rib on the buffet line, which was a nice surprise.
On the downside, the squash and zucchini were undercooked and lacked flavor, which honestly brought the experience down a notch for me—I’d give that part of the buffet only 3 stars. But the steamed broccoli was very flavorful! The salad bar was pretty basic, with limited options and nothing too exciting (no potato salad, just one pasta salad) I would like
The rest of the buffet had a lot of variety, including real chicken nuggets made from actual chicken (not just processed nuggets), sausage, corn, soft pretzels, pizza, and churros. The dessert bar was one of the best parts—it didn’t feel like cheap store-bought pies. They had key lime pecan pie, peanut butter pie, cookies, and banana pudding. The banana pudding was pretty basic, but the pies were rich and flavorful. They also have ice cream and toppings.
Overall, Krabby Mike’s is a great place if you’re looking for a seafood buffet in Myrtle Beach with a wide variety of options beyond just seafood. The crab legs, fried chicken, and desserts really shine, but the veggies and salad bar could use improvement. It’s a good spot for families, seafood lovers, and anyone looking to experience the classic all-you-can-eat Myrtle Beach...
