Ono Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Surprise

2nd review for this location, 5 stars when they open. New staff, Place is still kept clean, 3rd time I've tried ordering before they close 2 time they tell me they are closed. I go thru drive thru 5-6 mins before close and they don't answer so i go in the first time they tell me they closed the register, no problem it's my fault for coming close to close. Ok second time same thing drive thru but this time i drive up and they lock the doors as no customers are in lobby so I'm a lil upset But again a lil late so i left,. Tonight i get to drive thru no answer again go to window wait a second, no one so no i have 5-6 min before close. Still have enough time before close and the girl with headset is in lobby cleaning up and looks out in front. Walk to register nice girl helps and i expressed i was at drive thru wanting to order but no help. She takes my order and then gose tells the with the headset something and the headset girl looks at me and im sure she knows Im upset. As i wait I see everyone is either smiling or looking off that i ordered before closed. Im sorry but that's the only time i can get to this place after work. I never had a problem going to the original spot in Avondale. Now i live in Surprise so i was vere please but after everything tonight i don't even feel comfortable eating my food. I don't think they did anything to my food but seeing couple employees giggling amongst each other while putting my order in the bag i didn't want to findotut. Just thanked them and left. I'l just have to go to Northern ave or the one in Avondale. Sorry for bad reviews but won't be going to one in...

I love this place. Perfect plate lunch and food is amazing. The customer service is even better. Im late writing this review but about 3 or 4 weeks ago I went in with my brand new 2 week old baby to pick up food for my family. I would usually call ahead but I didnt this time because my boyfriend had a request that I wasn't sure i would be able to convey over the phone properly so i waited to order until i got there. Alyssa took my order. She was super friendly. Then I sat with my newborn and waited for my order to be ready. When my food was ready, Alyssa brought it over to me and asked me where i parked and told me she would carry my food out to my car for me. She didnt even give me the option and she opened the door for me and carried my food to my car. On the way to the car she informed me that I could always use the drive thru but since I ordered the island fire chicken it couldnt be ordered in the drive thru but that I could always call ahead so I dont have to wait as long with my baby. When we got to my car she asked me where I wanted the food and even put it in my car for me while I put my baby in the car and then she thanked me for coming in. She has amazing customer service and everyone could learn from her, though all of your employees have been friendly. But she definitely tops any customer service I have seen...

If I could give NO stars I would. I was highly upset after receiving my food. When you make plates especially Local ONO(tasty,Good) food.. it should always be made with LOVE(Aloha). Ono Hawaiian bbq should not be the name for this place! They are very stingy when they make their plates. They smash the Rice down to make it look like a lot. The Kalua pig had no flavor and was way to Liquidy. I kind of felt offended that this restaurant carry’s a name that represents the islands of Hawaii(my home state) but have no Quality or reasonable Quantity for what they are serving! Now if u want GREAT Quality and Quantity when it comes to Island BBQ.. LEOs Hawaiian BBQ on Bell rd across from Arrowhead mall is the BEST since I’ve moved here to Arizona! The only reason I came to Onos was because Leo’s is a drive. And since Onos was a 6min drive from my house I ended up going there! But now I regret wasting my money here! Because I spent way too much for such little portions! 3 plates for $62 smh. 3 plates of the same order at Leo’s would only cost me $34 and they fill your plate.
