Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Susquehanna Township

We went to Rita’s Union Deposit last night at 8:50pm they were open until 9:00pm, after standing at the window for about 5 minutes a young lady came to the window and told us that window service was ended but we could drive through. There were 3 of us, went to the car and went to the drive through. After pulling up to drive through a young man came to the window and said we closed. Explained that the young lady told us to drive up, he did not care, he proceeded to argue with us. Asked for the manager, he indicated he was and continued to argue. He never even bothered to ask her. This is ice and custard, the grills weren’t off, the deep fryer wasn’t off, they just served a car in front of us and worse yet he never asked his co-worker. I asked for the card or the owner or general manager and he slammed the window and locked it. My husband will never go to Rita’s again, I will not support this franchise. We ended up at 3 B’s on Derry Street, owners should go here, they are open til 10:30 Friday night, was packed and had 3 windows working and the ice cream was on point! DO NOT RECOMMEND RITA’S...

I have actually been to other Rita's and they treated me very well but this was somewhat low for the reason that I ordered an ice cream and they gave me what it is not and I said no I ordered a Frozen custard and the girl I take the wrong one, angry she gave it to others to throw it away and another girl came with the ice cream that I asked for, I just told her thank you and they closed the window in my face, I just say that they put nice people educated good people this is the only Rita's who have had that problem because the rest are not like that they are kind with a smile and educated those girls who attended me only have a bad temper and if you ask something Bad they get angry and that is not good the reality my complaint will not be the first to say it here I hope they improve that...

I went to this Rita's because I was with my grandchildren and this one on Union Deposit has a drive thru. I like Rita's and the different items they offer, it's refreshing on a hot day. We just had the Italian ice. I had juicy pear but it did taste the same as I remember. It was kinda of a weak taste. My granddaughter had cotton candy which was good. It taste just like cotton candy! I love the swedish fish flavor, it taste just like the candy. This location needs to move the sign that they have with the flavors listed because it's covered by a tree that is near and the sign needs to be lite up with light because you can see what it says at night. This Rita's has plenty of parking as well as a walk-up window...
