10/20/24 update:
Another early Sunday adventure to Jam & Toast, another fantastic decision to do so!
While she has been multiple times with friends for meetings or to catch up, this was only my third visit. Hands down the best avocado sandwich according to wife and she isn't too interested in trying much else now that she has had it.
I, on the other hand, am willing to see what other offerings they have...
I know from experience as well as others photos, that plating is ALWAYS neat, tidy, and tight here. That made me curious to see how their J&T Board would be presented. A beautiful, small cutting board came with a biscuit, a croffle, a sausage patty, three strips of bacon, a bowl of fresh fruit, and three small accompaniments: butter, berry puree, and dulce de leche.
I put the sausage in the biscuit, a little butter, and some of the berry puree.. very nice. The bowl of fruit was eaten straight up, as was the bacon. But the croffle...?
So a croffle is a croissant pressed in a waffle iron. That has potential... so I cut across in half and divided each half into six pieces. For the first half I put the dulce de leche on each piece. I admit I wasn't 100% sure what I was hoping for, but it didn't really strike any notes in me. Perhaps if the croissant had been longer in the waffle iron? I may try playing with the idea at home to see... but I CAN tell you that with the puree it was a homerun. Very thankful I had some left from using on the biscuit!
Service again was flawless... the staff is very well trained. Enjoyed watching them to see what things they all do exactly the same way.
September 2024
Came early on a Sunday after getting first light pictures a little further away in Suwanee and what a great decision that was!
Not only is the location beautiful, our server, Ericka, was bright and shiny, friendly, and helpful in making decisions on our choices. So great to find a server knowledgeable about their menu!
The Belgin Very Berry Waffle was served with plenty of fresh berries, a butter whip that was luscious, and a Waffle that was exactly crisp as a Belgian should be! Powdered sugar was decorative and not over done... maple syrup on the side.
The Avocado Sandwich was perfect both on the plate as well as in preparation. Ericka pointed out the differences between this and the Avocado Toast (apparently another favorite of patrons here) and the Sandwich won out on the basis of the tomato. Seasoning was light and fresh, though we added a touch of salt from preference.
Fresh Squeeze OJ was very good. Definitely a difference in taste from others.
Dancing Goats Coffee... hmmm... nice, with a great aroma and flavor. A lingering, pleasant flavor in the mouth had me looking Dancing Goats up online. Definitely worth...
Read moreWas finally in the area when this place was open, so I finally checked it out. Went in around noon on Saturday morning, and boy, was this place packed. Had to get on their waiting list to get a table, and after just under 30 mins, I finally was able to get seated.
I like the clean and white aesthetics of place. The tables have plenty of space, so your party of 4 will fit fine. They even have outside patio seating, but fortunately, I got an inside seat.
It seems like their signature dishes are their breakfast meals, but they have a nice selection of lunch items like burgers, salads and etc...
Since I wanted to try a few things, I got the J&T Board and the English Breakfast. I also indulged in a Berry Bellini, which they had to serve in a regular glass instead of a champagne glass. The drink was awesome and was delivered shortly after I ordered it along with the water jug that was given as I sat down.
The downside was having to wait about 30 mins to get my food, and it looked like I wasn't the only one it took that long as it seemed most tables took a bit to get their dishes.
The upside, though, was the food came out looking great and tasted just as great. The J&T Board was perfect as it included their jam peantnut butter with their toast and a biscuit along with the delectable bacon strips that were just the right amount of crispy. The English Breakfast was absolutely delicious! The mushrooms were to die for. I really wish they served more on this meal cuz they were that good. Even the simple grilled tomato was enjoyable. The bacon as before was great. I think if the dish only included one sausage link, it would've been perfect, but it's hard to complain about getting more food for your money.
Overall, things were great, and it would've been a 5 star place, but having to wait so long for my food brought things down, but the service was solid otherwise as I was checked on more than enough. Definitely a good place but be ready to potentially wait to get in and...
Read moreWe visited this morning after getting a brief glimpse of the sign on our way to dinner last night. What a great find! Very excited to go back and bring other family and friends. The atmosphere and decor was modern, bright, and clean. The service was fantastic - our waitress was attentive, accommodating, and extremely kind. The menu has plenty of options to suit a variety of tastes. The iced lattes were exceptionally good. I ordered the B.A.T. Benedict (bacon, avocado, and grilled tomato), and would order again in a heartbeat. The eggs were cooked perfectly, just the right amount of hollandaise. I appreciated the small mixed green salad as a side, and the hand cut potatoes were very tasty. I ordered a side of fruit as well - no dried up melon and measly grapes here! Juicy pineapple chunks, fresh strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries. Truly a great meal. And the prices were beyond reasonable. Would definitely recommend to anyone, and again, can’t wait to return myself.
I would also like to say, in reference to the one, single Google review (currently posted) for this location that falls beneath five stars: my party was mixed race, and I saw a very diverse group of customers (very representative of Gwinnett), and EVERYONE was being greeted and served with the exact same level of respect. Also, I will note that this location is new (open about two months), and they are still undergoing some renovations, some of which involve modifications to the booths so they...
