Sit back, relax and let me tell you a story about EXACTLY how NOT to provide customer service.
My wife placed an order for a pepperoni stuffed crust pizza on the Papa John's app. Five minutes later several more teenage boys arrived at our house, so she placed a second order for another pepperoni stuffed crust pizza using the app with confirmation on both orders. She then called and informed me that she had already paid for Two pepperoni pizzas that needed to be picked up.
Upon arrival, I asked a about a pickup order for TWO pizzas and was told the order would be done shortly. Shortly thereafter the employee behind the counter informed me the order was ready. As the she attempted to hand me a single pizza box, I informed her that there were two orders for two total pizzas and she went to look for the second pizza. She asked another associate who was in three back completing orders who then came to the front, verified the spelling of our name and informed me that this was 1 of 1 pizzas in this order. My reply was, "Yes, we placed two septate orders, two pizzas total" as I stepped to the side and sat on the bench waiting for the second order to be completed.
15 minutes later... I walked back up to the counter to inquire when the second pizza would be finished, to which the reply was "I told you before we only have an order for one pizza".
Really my man, you're just going to watch me sit down after I told you we ordered two pizzas and sit there for LONGER than it would have taken to make a second pizza without any further conversation?
Pissed off would be an understatement.
I walked outside directly to my truck, parked directly in front of the door and within eyesight of the front register to call my wife to figure out what was going on. We discovered that minutes after placing the second order, it was canceled by Papa John's because it "Appeared to be a duplicate order".
I then walked back in to the store to pick up the one pizza that had been completed and sitting behind the counter for 20 minutes at this point.
I was then informed by the large, snarkey, unshaven fello behind the counter that he had voided that order and it was no longer available. my question was, "So you threw the finished pizza that we paid for away?" and his reply was "No, I Voided the transaction so it's no longer charging you"
I left, pissed off, time wasted with zero pizzas and we still haven't been refunded the money we were initially charged.
We would previously order from this location frequently. I'll find somewhere else to spend our money...
Read moreI hardly ever eat from pizza from Papa John’s it’s been a few year, and tonight I just remembered why.. My son door dashed me 8 pieces parmesan chicken . The ifood came to my door in NO bag and NO protective seal! When I called the manager Todd , he made it absolutely clear to me that “They are not required to Seal items” very assertively and that they do it as a courtesy!!! He repeated 3x assertively!! He also suggested I take it with door dash!!! Why would I take it with door dash when it’s your that didn’t seal the product??? He also said he will refund my money as if he was doing me a favor!!! I’m NOT eating that!!! So yes return my money!!!In today’s day and age. Reallly?????? And you select which ones you’ll seal and which one just goes unprotected??? And just left in front of the door no bag, Nothing???? I work retail!! I know this review won’t go any further than here!!! But I can assure I will be calling there...
Read moreWe ordered our pizza at 7:39pm and received the order at 9:25pm. The pizza delivered was sealed; however, when we opened it the pizza was half eaten, the pepper was eaten (only the stem left), and the garlic sauce was opened. We called and spoke to the manager and he laughed and said “I’m sorry that is a pizza my crew was eating on, we will remake your order and send it out.” We responded with we don’t want a pizza from there… when we just got one that was half eaten and hard as a rock. The manager laughed and said “well you paid cash, so I don’t know what you want me to do about that.” We stated that if he was willing to bring a pizza… then he should be willing to bring our money back because that is FILTHY! ESPECIALLY DURING A PANDEMIC!...
