
Prior to COVID we were signed up in a grandfathered plan from Gold's Gym, it was an all inclusive family plan that included daycare. We also were utilizing their trainer services. However Just prior to the COVID closure our trainer had cancelled our appointment because he was filling sick, and then the gym was closed entirely due to the COVID shutdown. During that time our trainer quit and found another job. Once the gym reopened, it did so with no daycare, which is the case today as well. We asked for a credit since we are paying for daycare but others aren't because ours is bundled and at first they said they would but they have done nothing. On top of that they have been charging us for a trainer, and have had 3 charges total when we don't even have a trainer anymore he doesn't even work there. Every time we call to resolve it or show up we are told that they can't help us. Yet no one that can is offered to us. I would not recommend this gym due to their billing separate with ABC Financial and they don't have a positive fluid functioning relationship with each other. So if something happens to you like it did to me your just SOL.

I can't reply to Akina, but I have actually not had it resolved yet... I thought I did, and was waiting to update my review accordingly once promises that were made were followed through on. However they have not been. I was called (after I had to make several negative reviews to get help instead of when I had simply just called), anyways, I was called by a someone in charge and his name escapes me at the moment, maybe it was Akina, maybe Sebastian?? Either way, I was told I would be refunded the incorrect trainer fees, and for my troubles and that I had been charged for child care, they would skip my next few gym monthly membership fees. They did tell me it would be a little while to process the refund. I was totally okay with that, and was happy that I was getting a refund finally and glad that it was all over with and I didn't have to waste anymore time. However, guess what... they just charged me AGAIN for another trainer fee! I cannot believe it! My trainer doesn't work there anymore, they quit! I was assured repeatedly by both the district manager and Savannah that I would no longer be charged... but here we are, my account charged yet another $68.00 and no refund yet. Seriously... how is this...
Read moreSo let’s start with their biggest problem billing. If you are reading this and are a member I hope you are watching what they are charging. Let’s start with where we went wrong. We switched my family from 6 individual plans to their new family plan and that’s where this all goes south. Not only did they mess up the monthly amount but they weren’t supposed to charge the annual fee for one year so they start by charging me double the monthly rate 2 times in one month. Then they start billing my credit card $88 a week for a personal trainer I didn’t sign up for. When they were contacted about the problem I got the standard customer service answer of I’m so sorry we will get it taken care of………followed by the same comment the next week……..and the next week. Multiple phone calls, manger still to this day has only called me back once. Phone calls to district manager finally someone who got part of the issue solved or so I thought until today when I get a bill in the mail………also stopped all payments with my card on file which they still try and run every couple days. At this point my next step is guess will have to be file a police report for credit card fraud. 3rd party billing says they can’t stop it or change the amount as it is all done at the store level. Sad part is it’s a decent facility, older equipment could use newer and updated stuff like they have at other locations but hopefully for members the new building is better. Also hope that in the new facility they get people and management in place that are really able to and willing to do their jobs and get customers taken care of. Will this review change anything for them probably not but hopefully if they truly want to be a better facility it does and they make the necessary changes.
Update! And it doesn’t make it any better. After Kylee reached out and said they would allow me to cancel the membership due to the billing issues and because their employee Ash changed my plan with out my approval….. but iguess what they did not cancel it and let me out of my contract, as Friday I got a call that they turned over an outstanding balance that I was not aware of (as they still had my credit card on file) of over $1000 to a collection agency.
Watch your billing from them I’m betting if you look you will find charges that you did not approve. Guess they gotta pay for the new...
Read moreLove Eos! Was a bit wary when they bought out my old Gold's gym, but the worries were needless. The remodeling they've done to the gyms are fantastic (in Roy and Bountiful)! Great place to work out for a very reasonable monthly rate. (Just wondering when Syracuse gym will get its facelift 🙂🤞)
May 2022 Unfortunately, I need to update my review from 5 stars to 4 stars. I'm not as happy with EOS currently. I like to work out with 5, 8 and 10-pound weights but always have to walk all over the facility to hunt them down. They only have one pair of 5 and 8-pound weights for the whole facility. I've asked a couple times if they could get some more and they've said they were on order. Well, it's been about a year and still no new weights. It's not the personnel's fault; from what I'm told, it's the fault of the higher-ups. And one of the two massage chairs broke down months ago and still isn't fixed. I still enjoy working out there, although the weight situation is annoying. I guess it's hard times for everyone.
December 2022 Second update. EOS finally came through and got more weights, yay! And they're planning on building a beautiful brand new facility right next to the old one in the next year, so no traveling to a different EOS during construction. Yippee! And they're offering great workout classes with lots of variety. Back to a five-star rating! 🙂
March 2025 Five stars for EōS Fitness in Syracuse! I still love working out at this facility.The friendly associates and courteous members create a positive atmosphere to work out. I enjoy all the different kinds of equipment that is available and I am really looking forward to the new facility...
