I’ll start with what was good, the fries that came as a side dish, the sushi chef created nice rolls, bulgogi was very tender, and portion size. Both my friend and I work in the food service industry, so, we don’t like to be too critical, however, feedback is priceless for continued growth. Now, the less desirable aspects of the visit. Unfortunately, the bulgogi and kimchi tofu soup have been toned down so much for the typical Utahan/Utahn palate that they lacked any discernible flavor. Cream cheese seems to be a popular theme in the sushi, which is sad, one of our rolls (yum yum roll, yes, I know it’s listed that cream cheese is in it, but the other ingredients were favorable) it tasted better after we pushed out the cream cheese with the chopsticks, the flavors weren’t masked by the cream cheese anymore. We were the only table sat in the restaurant at 6pm, stayed this way until 7:15, service was still lackluster, waited 10 minutes before our order was taken, had to ask for our drinks (water) 5 minutes later, had to ask for our payment to be processed twice, besides the fries, the highlight of the night was our server/cook/host who performed all 3 jobs, was blatantly ogling my friend, luckily they weren’t his type. Now, the fries as a side dish? They were nice and crispy, however, this was my side dish in a Korean restaurant? I guess I’m used to getting a variety of small banchan/bapsang plates. Somehow they’ve stayed in business though, their ToGo/delivery seemed constant. I wish you well, and that your business continues to prosper, apparently you have a following that loves you based on your ratings (part of the reason we tried your location), we just aren’t part of that population. I wish you continued...
Read moreEdit: 3 years later, I am dropping from 5 stars to 3 stars. It breaks my heart to do this to any business, but I've continued to eat here periodically since the grand opening, and it just keeps getting worse and worse. I can't even get through more than a few bites of any entrees anymore. Preparation and the quality of ingredients is poor. Mushy rice. Watery flavorless soups. Strange ingredient ratios. Nothing here tastes enjoyable anymore and the food definitely does not taste Korean.
Tonight was my first experience at this brand new restaurant. First impression walking in was that the atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. You're greeted by a lovely color shifting fountain at the door. The seating and decor are very comfortable. The staff members were so friendly!! Now for the important question... How was the food? DELICIOUS! The gyoza was perfectly cooked, crispy outside, tender inside. I ordered Nigiri sushi because it's the best way to gauge a restaurant's sushi quality. Every piece put a smile on my face and was ALMOST as tender as fresh sushi I've eaten in California. I also tried Mount Fuji roll. Flavor was yummy, but it was a bit heavy on the rice. The Nigiri platter had an awesome color changing radish decoration on it. Coolest sushi presentation ever. Check out the video lol. My girlfriend got Korean cold noodles and my buddy got bibimbop. Everyone was full and very satisfied at the end. Prices are what you'd expect for a place like this. I've also uploaded a scan of the menu so I'd recommend checking it out before you drop by. I'd highly recommend this restaurant. I'll definitely be...
Read moreThe only reason I am not giving this a one star is because of how good the food was the first time I tried it. My friend introduced me to this place about a week ago and the food was amazing, so amazing I decided to pick it up for my family tonight. When we got the food the first thing I noticed was the egg drop soup was almost 1/3rd the size of when I previously got it with the dinner combo. When we opened the General Tso's Chicken dinner combo that everyone got I was very disappointed to find white rice when the website clearly stated ham fried rice (which is what it came with when I ordered it previously). It also came with less rice and chicken then I previously had with my friend. The chicken this time around also looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for awhile (we ordered it at 5:10 and picked it up and was eating by 5:45). We all ate a little bit but finally just threw it away and decided to find something in the house to eat. I was honestly shocked so I reached out to my friend to verify what he ordered us and it was the exact thing I ordered. I even double checked the online order and the receipt we got... Needless to say I will not be going back here and wish I saved my money and just ate at home like we ended up doing. It is honestly shocking how different the food and portions changed in just...
