It all started with Darrius. I came in expecting to be placed on a waitlist, knowing there’s usually a wait for larger parties—no problem. However, I literally had to yell, "EXCUSE ME," as he walked off just to get his attention so he could add me to the list. As a host, he should have been checking in with customers "have you been helped" instead of assuming they were already helped or with someone who was waiting.
After waiting, we were finally seated. Our server(heydi), whose name we wouldn’t know because she never introduced herself (Darrius did when he sat us), took our drink orders along with the kids' meals and appetizer order at the same time. I accidentally said "Buffalo" instead of "BBQ" for the wings and even joked about mixing up the wrong "B." Someone else in our party ordered extra queso.
When our appetizers arrived, I received Buffalo wings instead of BBQ, and the extra queso never came. Mistakes happen—we’re all human. However, we weren’t given plates, napkins, or silverware with our apps. We had to flag down a different server, a young woman with dark hair in a half-up, half-down style, and tattoos. She was incredibly helpful despite already managing her own section. Meanwhile, our actual server was nowhere to be found. She hadn't checked in since bringing our drinks—no follow-ups, no "Is everything okay?"—nothing.
When she finally returned, she took our meal orders. Two people in our party ordered the 2 for $26—one meal to eat there and one to-go. Strangely, the to-go order arrived before the dine-in meal. We placed our orders around 7:54ish p.m., and the food didn’t arrive until 8:40ish. I don’t mind waiting, but at the very least, a simple check-in to let us know the kitchen was backed up would have been appreciated. Instead, we were left sitting there, wondering what was going on.
By the time we were ready to pay, everyone was frustrated with the lack of service. To top it off, we noticed we were charged for items that never even made it to the table. One person in our party had already paid their portion, and we were told that because payment had started, there was nothing they could do to adjust the charges. The server then comes out with the queso. What a joke, right?! Thankfully, manager Kelsey came over and made things right, which we truly appreciated. Thank you so much, kelsey and tatted lady!!
Before leaving, I wanted to tip the young woman with tattoos because she was more attentive than our actual server, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find her.
Overall, this experience was beyond...
Read moreShame on you Applebees for discrimination, disrespect, and poor customer service last night! I'll take my service someplace else and you are no longer my family's hang out spot! Yes, one bad experience can change it all! Last Night I went to dinner with my family and our food came up wrong (no big deal) the manager was nice about it and changed it to the correct order but when she came back she had a different demeanor. She called me sweety and I was offended. You should not call an adult sweety especially in a professional setting! Ok moving on, at that point I knew the waitress had told her she didn't mess up our order and that we just wanted to change it. ( not true) the waitress came over to the table and said, " they said the wings were wrong I'm almost sure you said classic!" 😯🖐First of all, if the wings have been fixed why do you feel the need to confront me about what we said. My husband specifically came to Applebees for his Spicy Asian boneless wings. But it's funny that the manager's demeanor told it all when she came back and made the sweety comment. Ok moving on. Another lady who I recognize (because I come in all the time) came to check on our table I told her I was unhappy with the service. The manager walked up and told her to please get back to work! 😞 (how rude) I wanted my bill right away! At that point the manager and the waitress confronted me asking if everything was fine. I was so sick of my family being inturupted and their rude demeanor so I said I'd like the bill. They treated me like I was trying to get over or something! I come in at least once a week and I am very disappointed. To top it all off the manager didn't even offer to give me a discount for my troubles or anything. That's ok, you won't get my service! 😘 ps. Yes, I would like my $40.00 refund! I honor good...
Read moreMy husband and I have never had such bad service at this location as we did yesterday. We just stopped in for a quick appetizer and drinks, it took 10 minutes for my husband to relieve his alcoholic drinks. Our server took our order, and brought my Iced tea and water and was never seen again! Someone else brought hubby's drink and someone else brought the food, we were NOT checked on once, I ended up drinking my husband's water because I never received a refill on my tea. After we finished our food a young man grabbed the plates, the whole time I was looking around the restaurant for our server but she was nowhere to be seen. I finally got up and asked the hostess desk where she was, when the hostess returned to our table she stated our server was "dealing with a difficult check" & she'd be right over. 10 minutes later our server returned to the table, asking if I wanted a refill, we wanted anything else, she tried to show us how to pay on the machine but informed her it was cash. By this time I was extremely irritated & just wanted to pay our check and leave. We received no apology or explanation as to why we hadn't seen her during our whole meal, we left the cash and left the restaurant. As we were leaving the gentleman at the front opened the door for us and apologized for what had happened. Our server's name was Rachel, I'm sorry but I find it hard to believe that she had been "dealing with a difficult check" the whole time we were there...
From now on if we return to this location we will make sure to request our regular server, Annabelle, she's amazing! We NEVER have any issues with her, she's quick and you see her...
