Last time I went to review this location and literally typed out PARAGRAPHS, then decided to delete it all because I understand that bad days happen and also- reviewing a chain fast food is usually laughable. But here I am.. reviewing fast food
Last time- I waited 40 minutes in the drive thru.. I chalked it up to them maybe being understaffed.
THIS TIME I venture once more to this 38th street Arby’s because frankly, I have an addiction to those sliders.. we opted to go inside to order. 3 others were in line or waiting already and we took our place. I thought the radio was on but it was the sounds of the drive thru speaker broadcasting someone’s personal conversation from their car through the entire restaurants speakers and honestly- I didn’t care to hear about grandmas blisters. There are about 6-7 employees working and it felt like the Twilight zone
A lady asked if an order was hers as she’d been waiting, the young employee stood their wide eyed and blank staring with no response and then another young employee confirmed that it was but they needed 6 nuggets dropped to complete it. The wide eyed employee started shouting for a manager for more 1 dollar bills, no response.. shouts again, then another employee points at the screen to an order of 2 items for a gentleman behind us, then exclaims “wow, this guy has been waiting a long time”. The older gentleman then said “yeah, about 20 minutes”. They hadn’t started the ticket yet..
There was a massive Uber order being prepared and it really made me think, maybe if this poor staff didn’t have to service orders of folks who aren’t even there, with impatient drivers taking wrong items, that maybe service would be easier for them to manage..
I’m leaving out more details but what’s most important is that I won’t be back to this location and if you’re reading this, I’d...
Read moreThe evening I went to Arby's we just didn't want to cook, but we also didn't want the usual take out food. Well, as we all know going inside was out of the proverbial pandemic options so the drive thru was my only option. I ordered using a few coupons we so gratefully acquired via our wonderful mail system. The drive thru speed was not super fast, though it wasn't super slow either. But the line definitely wrapped around the building the whole time I was there. Now about the food........ Every roast beef sandwich had plenty of meat on it, so much in fact eating 2 sandwiches was out of the question for me so I had one for lunch the next day. And thats what makes it worthwhile. The fries were hot and curly as always. And the poppers were loved by those that ordered them (I stuck with the fries). But the topper to the whole thing for me was the SHAKE! It was a hot day, i was needing some refreshment and boy did that Chocolate Shake fit the bill. I think next time I'll try the Orange Cream shake.......that just reminds me of being a kid during the summer. Anyway, service was competent and steady. The lady at the window double checked my order to eliminate any chance of having to complain about not getting what I ordered. Which will always get a thumbs up from me. Good food, good service, nothing 'above and beyond' but maybe next time..........cause there will be...
Read moreIt's late. You just left a show and you hunger. You know what I mean...you get in line in the Drive-Thru and you're thinking about that sandwich and curly fries... your mouth's watering. After waiting for what seems like an eternity as the person in front of you and the cashier chat endlessly like they are old college roommates, you finally get your food and drive off towards home eager to mack out. Imagine however, your utter dismay as you unwrap your sandwich and end up coating your fingers in the slathering of mayonnaise that's oozing out . It's late and you're hungry af, so you lick your fingers clean and grab one half, ready for that first bite. Then picture it as your sandwich falls apart in your hands because it wasn't cut all the way through... so all of the ingredients have now slipped apart... half stuck to the top piece of bread and the rest just falling out because the bottom piece wasn't cut through and remained in the wrapper. Damn. That sucks. So you eat a curly fry and try to regroup. You take a sip of your refreshing Fruit Punch drink to wash it down only to find out that apparently the mixture was off in the drink machine and you basically have a cup as pink water. Too late and too far to drive...
