My first time coming to this Jared (Service 28919934) and I am beyond astonished management would keep in their staff roster a truly incompetent jewelry shop associate. I brought a pearl bracelet to be restrung to fit my wrist. I gave specific instructions to remove only two pearls and restring the rest in the same appearance/arrangement since the pearls came in different shapes. Photos were taken of the bracelet and I was told to return at a later date. When I returned to pickup the bracelet I noticed two issues immediately. First, the pearls were not arranged in the same original pattern, and second a section of the string appeared one slight tug away from snapping. I gave the bracelet back to the associate and asked for the pearls to be arranged in the pattern shown in the original photo, and I also pointed out the string that was about to snap. I left the store astonished that the shop associate assigned to restring my pearl bracelet had no eye for balance, details, and aesthetics. When I returned several days to pick up the bracelet I noticed two new issues. First the closure had been completely changed from the original closure and second, the pearls were not arranged like the original photo. At this point I lost complete confidence in this Jared location so I just took the bracelet and accepted the new arrangement of the pearls on the string, plus I was getting ready to leave for a trip and would not have the time to deal with a third service request. I told myself I would never come to this Jared again and I didn't even bother to fill out the feedback request I received by email. THE REASON I am taking the time now to leave this negative review on Google Maps is because 12 days after I picked up the bracelet the string by the closure snapped! The bracelet snapped at the slightest tug while I was taking off a winter jacket! Looking closely at the snapped section I could see that a glue of some sort had been used to harden the ends of the string and the hardened string got comprised since it didn't allow for natural flexibility of the string. Read moreVery Disappointed, I bought my wedding ring and my wife her wedding band because of the quality and the service. Now after coming to this store for 8 years buying various items. The treatment we received on May 4 2018 was very concerning and now has caused us to look for another jeweler. It started when we came in to get our rings cleaned and rhodium plated, something we have done 2 times a year for the last 8 years. Each time we knew that the engagement ring we would have to pay extra for because we did not purchase from Jared. I was in the army when I married and we bought the ring in another town. After we moved here we bought the rest of the pieces from Jared. When we came into the store we went through the drop off procedures, normal questions. The person was new so finding our items in their new database was a challenge. After everything was complete the person training had asked one of the other floor personnel to come and appraise my rings. His questions were very offending, almost like I was lying about how much I paid. Now I understand why those questions were asked for the insurance purpose, but the person did not deliver to me the customer in a polite way or even semi-polite. Now after all that they took our rings, letting us know they would take some time which was understandable so we went shopping. During our shopping trip Jared called us to let us know, that a policy that was not enforced for 8 years had finally been enforced. They could not clean or rhodium plate the engagement ring (the one we did not buy from them) and was not very forthcoming about why the policy was now just put into place. I can understand policy and I can understand the mechanics of the questions for the appraisal. The way we were treated thought I think was very unfortunate, and I really hope others will not have to go through what we went through. 8 years all ruined by poor customer service and a policy that is antiquated, and outdated. This was just our experience nothing more we will be looking for a more local jeweler we live in Graham and used to drive all the way to tacoma just to get the rings serviced. Read moreLet me just say- WOW WOW WOW 1000x WOW!! I came in with two gold bands and a wedding stack from my mom, gifted to me. I wanted to custom make a few pieces and Tra’Ja really hit it out of the park. After expecting my jewelry, we came up with a game plan to use the 2 gold bands and the diamonds from the set/stack to make a necklace and two new gold bands. She went above and beyond to make me feel so comfortable and empowered through this whole experience. It was such an amazing time to sit down with her and pick a part the diamonds and play with designs and placements before deciding the final designs. For the necklace, we chose to do a really pretty twisted gold band with a beveled pendant setting for the marquis stone from my mom’s wedding ring. With the leftover tiny diamonds, we placed them in the two gold bands to make a matching ring set. One for me, one for my older sister. A way to “always have mom with us”. Tra’Ja was so communicative through this whole process and stopped whatever she was doing to answer any questions or fill me in on an update. She got me the best deals she could and made sure I was really truly comfortable with numbers before going to the next step. These custom pieces really mean a lot to me as the original rings carried my family for a long time and Tra’Ja took them and watched over them with the upmost respect and care. She taught me a lot about the science behind diamonds and metals and I was so fascinated, like there is so much that goes into this industry and she left me so speechless! I feel like I made a friend and the excitement she had FOR ME on pick up day really shows how much she cares for her guest. She advocated for me and made sure that if she saw anything that wasn't up to expectation to personally work with the jewelers in the lab to make sure it was all absolutely PERFECT. I took progress pictures of the whole experience and I am just so grateful and blessed to have worked with her on this very special project.
