Cerello's Pizza, Wine Cafe — Restaurant in Tacoma

Wow, wow, wow!!! I just tried this place for the first time last night intrigued by the menu and I must say it did NOT disappoint!! We got the meat lovers pizza, baked meatballs and hot wings. Oh and Tiramisu. Pizza 10/10 - everything about this was great. It was done to perfection, flavorful, good balance of cheese, sauce and meat. It's a favorite. Baked meatballs 10/10- the one and only time I've ever had baked meatballs or maybe they're called crunchy meatballs? I don't know but they are baked and crunchy! Such a delight to bite into a crunchy, breaded cheese all with tasty meatballs housed inside. This was a genius idea! Hot wings 7/10- loved the flavor it was nice and spicy. I just wish they were more crispy on the outside. They were not skimpy on the meat on this little drummers. But I like my wings to be more balance with meat and crisp. Still would recommend. Tiramisu 4/10- I didn't love this. And I love tiramisu and maybe that's why I feel snobby about it. It was ok, it didn't really taste authentic, it was dry like not enough liquor soak and the top cream part of the cake was a bit frozen. Not so much that you couldn't eat it but it's not a frozen dessert. Obviously I know they chill it til ready, maybe I should have let it sit out before enjoying but either way I wouldn't order again.

I think the price is very fair especially for the quality of food you're getting. All of this was $60 (the pizza was a large). I said the tiramisu didn't seem authentic but everything else was. It tasted like real Italian cooked pie- judging by someone who's never had it but I would imagine this is what it tastes like.

We went and got two pizzas for takeout, came home to find one of the pizzas was missing the pepperoni, and we called and the owner and he apologized and clarified that they were busy and that mistakes happen. He then goes on to tell me that he would make a replacement pizza for us., and we agreed we would come pick up a replacement pizza so we called and made the order for the pizza only to have the owner that we just talk to deny us of the replacement pizza claiming that he was 100% sure that he had not made a mistake and that we were being dishonest. Just a little heads up for customer service you don’t agree to make something for somebody and then tell the person you just told that to that you’re not going to make them a replacement. We spent nearly $50 and couldn’t even get what we ordered for them to be so shady in this day and age It’s pretty sad, I told the owner it’s not a big deal. If he doesn’t wanna give us a replacement pizza don’t claim we the customer are being “dishonest” the man was obviously mad and his ego was hurt so he had to try to look like the big boss to his employees. So we will just take our business elsewhere Happily, there’s plenty of pizza places to go to in Tacoma and a shady owned business is the last place I want to spend my hard earned money, sorry buddy we get pizza almost 2x every week and this could of been a good relationship but no biggie we all make mistakes and ours was just going to a small mom and pop restaurant expecting...

Good pizza, but horrible customer service. I have ordered from them twice, both times they got my drink order wrong, although the pizza was excellent. The second time I showed the driver the drink order, and when they called the manager to try to resolve it I was told we lived too far away (south Tacoma) for them to commit to getting me what I ordered any sooner than a couple of hours because they were busy. The manager blamed their website provider, and told me I wouldn't be charged for the drinks I ordered and didn't receive (as if that was somehow generous). He told me he had called their website provider about the ordering problem, but he wouldn't commit to getting me what I ordered in less than a few hours. I asked to have the owner call me, and they said they would leave a note. We'll see if the owner calls, and I will update this review if they do. Good pizza, but so far they are 0 for 2 in getting their orders right, and 0 for 2 in correcting their mistakes.

One year later: While the owner replied to my review (perhaps to make a good showing), I feel it's clear the owner isn't genuinely concerned. My phone number was left twice. No call. Alas, while they have great pizza, they won't have my...
