The counselor was very very stupid. She said a protection order wouldn't be recommended because it would escalate his anger. We just out of the hospital because my husband tried to kill us. How do you escalate that? Murder is as bad as it gets. Was she on an lsd trip? I don't think she had a clue. She was very dumb. I had to go to the house for our stuff. Now we can't leave. We're slaves to a murderer. My son almost died so how is a protection order harmful? She seemed to think it was. Everytime I'm in a house with my husband I can't stop shaking. This sucks. I told her I needed a protection order to protect my son, and she says. No, no, no that's only for victims. No, my son was poisoned almost to death by his father. He IS a victim. Do you think violent men only hit their wives? They hit wives, kids, pets.....She kept telling me a protection order won't help me and to leave my child off it after he dad beat him up and poisoned him. If he isn't protected, my son will...

UPDATE!!! I wanted to add to this because now that I've been through the process for a bit, if you are looking for help with shelter or housing, I wouldn't suggest this place. That is what I was in desperate need of and the resources are limited here. You basically come into the office and sit there and they give you a list of places to call in Hopes that there is a miracle opening in a shelter. Other then that though I feel like I was understood here in my actions and decisions, and all other aspects of what I'm going through more than I am with my family and friends. I feel like I can openly talk about what Ive been through and am currently going through and not be horribly judged or ridiculed. So I do recommend for services other...

I took a very dear friend of mine here and I was amazed at the patients displayed by the staff. They conducted them selves as if they where family eagered to serve. I pray this business hang around for awhile for they truly have the compatibilities of the saints....and it seems to be all of them thanks for such a wonderful experience while dealing with some unpleasant situations.my friend is 85vyears old and don't like alot of people and she said she didn't do business with them they are her friends and her friends got her back...Thanks for being there not only for the leagel matter but for making a hurting old lady smile...
