The Crafty Beaver Bar — Restaurant in Tacoma

Let's start with the street view.... It's quaint, easy to miss, and has a beaver on the front. Look to your right and there's a Gelato spot for after your visit. But let's focus. You walk in and Ainsley greets you with this beautiful, infectious smile. Their selection of craft beers and ciders leave you wanting to take more home with you. We got an arugula, pear, goat cheese salad to share while the owner works tirelessly to create a wonderful flat bread pizza. We ordered another one of those to go as well. We were on vacation for a wedding and stopped in here for a drink. We were the first (and only for a while) people in there when they opened. We sat at the bar, had a nice conversation with the owner (who was bartending), and were enjoying ourselves. Another couple came in and ordered food, and the owner stepped away from fixing their food to ask my boyfriend and me to stop kissing, telling us he could hear us "in the kitchen," which was literally two feet away. It was closed-mouth pecks; we weren't making out. Weirdest interaction...

Epic pizza! We ordered the Meat Lovers and Arugula Pear. Both were excellent. Crust is moist, tasty and has just the right amount of crunch. Red sauce equally delicious. The Crafty Beaver definitely sets itself apart from other pizza places in Tacoma by offering unique presentation (sort of flatbread style) and really full, delectable flavors and tastes.
