This was the worst experience I have had at any restaurant in a long time. We came went through the drive through and ordered myself and my two sons the same exact meal. My husband ordered the pizza and the cheese bread. I have some stomach stuff and I had JUST been sick. It was literally the only thing that sounded good. I hadn’t eaten for over 24 hours. I ordered the chicken gyros because the “beef” would be too heavy. I ended up with this heavy smelly meat product... supposedly “beef” (looked like balgogna and salami mixed together in some cheap way... ) But I couldn’t eat it even if it were good. My kids could not eat it. None of that would have been a big deal... if they had a trained professional staff. First off... there were 6 staff and only us. One family one order. I was very clear. I even ordered my kids the same meal so there was no confusion.... I even told the employee why I needed it. When we got home (out of town) and realized the order was wrong we called RIGHT AWAY. They were SOOOO understanding, I thought the issue was going to be simple to resolve. They offered to replace the food, we don’t live close enough... So they said no problem! They would refund it if we brought OUR CARD.... I let them know we would have to wait a week and they said no problem! So there we are. Now it has been a week, we drive up, the guy remember the call.... But the manager starts talking to the employee talking to the employee too.... she said they need to bring in THE FOOD... he said oh no she called last week they live over the bridge. She said receipt? And I said I didn’t save it I only brought my card. Then he said oh well then we can only give you food. Now the employee acknowledged that he mislead me... and they expect that to be enough. It is not. I didn’t want gyros now. I didn’t want to have a full refund. I wanted the cost of the gyros off my card period. So I think I need to speak with the manager directly, so I ask to. She immediately is angry that she has to talk to me... she comes out yelling. She is yelling grabbing her face and tells me not to yell but I haven’t.. I was in the service industry for 10 years. I never yell at mangers or employees. I say I am not yelling I tell her I understand that she is frustrated but this is not a reasonable solution. I asked to speak to the owner. She refuses she said I will take your number... but at this point how can I believe she is giving my number to the owner? They ask us to pull forward. I go insane instead to not block the drive through.... I sit hands flat on the table. I am not trying to stress her out further, she seems to be so anxious and upset I don’t want it to be worse. I use a calm patient tone. I tell her that the options she is giving me simply doesn’t work. I don’t want more food, I don’t want to give her my number, and I don’t want to wait to call while I am at work... I asked her to call the owner and have them talk to me. She said it is the her day off ... now this woman is screaming at me repeatedly... I really don’t think this is a good way to handle anything. I stay very calm I say I think it is a good idea for you to call the owner and tell them that you have a problem you cannot handle. She yells that if I am not going to listen to her that she was going to call the police because I am unreasonable... she is yelling at me like this in front of OTHER CUSTOMERS! I shake my head as the employee grabs the phone standing behind her as if I was a threat... I am a little wheezy round lady. Sitting not raising my voice both hands flat being treated like a criminal that is threatening her safety. How awful. I have spent $70 for meals I couldn’t eat any of and got...
Read moreSometimes, being wrong is a very good thing! At my husband's urging on a recent trip to my hometown we hunted up this very unassuming little eatery. When he said " There it is, turn right here!" I was not hopeful. I love Greek food, and hate to be disappiinted! This looked like a forgotten garage from yesteryear set smack on the avenue, and we'd just pulled into an alley! My first clue was the line. The alley is actually their drive thru, and there were several cars un front of us. They seemed to move fairly quickly tho and shortly it was our turn to order. I don't know when if ever I've seen such an extensive menu at a drive up! At least 4 pages on the menu board, and most of it was actually authentic Greek fare, with a few American standbys for the less adventurous. The gal taking the orders happily gave me time to look over the menu. I finally settled on their handmade vegetable pizza with briney ripe olives and Feta, and I added chicken. I also ordered fish and chips for my mom and a chicken gyro for Clarke. We were given our drinks and asked to pull around back and park, our order would be brought out. So I pulled straight ahead into the first space I saw and parked. I was looking at another alley in front of us, and beyond that a residential neighborhood. I was still not hopeful..I mean..good Greek food from a white washed old garage in an alley? I looked up into the rearview, and saw the most really delightful sight! Our state had just begun to open up on site dining after more than a year of Covid. We hadn't been to a sit in place for a long time. And here I see the entire back side of this garage opened up, with bistro tables and umbrellas sprinkled around inside and out. Deep inside I could see a service counter and the staff behind doing their thing. It was so charming! When our food arrived it was all hot, packaged nicely for travel and complete with all the extras..sauces, silverware, napkins. And it was delicious! The pizza crust was wonderfully crispy/ doughy and the whole thing just filled with salty goodness. The portions on everything were not skimpy at all, we could have easily fed another person. I was impressed! Hoping it wasn't a fluke, a few weeks later we tried it again. This time I went on line, found their site, ordered and paid on line, and we barely waited 5 minutes. This time it was Baklava and stuffed grape leaves. No fluke here folks! So good! On both visits the price tag came in at around $45 for 3 people. That seems spendy, and it's not nothing. But it also isn't Mcgreasy, or an unhappy meal. You get what you pay for and...
Read moreI’ve only ever gone through the drive thru but I decided to stop and eat inside. It’s small inside but there are enough table in chairs for more than a handful of people. I also saw some outdoor seating for when the weather is warmer. When you walk in the 1st thing you notice is the glass garage door like window. It’s absolutely beautiful with the sun shining in. The inside reminds me of an old fish fry house my parents took me to when I was younger. I felt comfortable and right at home! Everyone inside was friendly and even the lady i overheard working the drive thru window. Placing my order didn’t take long and even getting the food didn’t take long. Fries were hot and extra crispy. My gyro was warm and full of perfectly seasoned gyro meat. Cannot get enough of the tzatziki sauce. The lettuce was fresh and crisp not brown. Tomatoes and onion were all fresh too. I also ordered the meatball appetizer to go. Im sorry I didn’t take a picture but it was a healthy portion of huge meatballs covered in a delicious sauce and cheese with pita bread on the side. I didn’t eat it there but I did when I got home. It was good. I’ll definitely keep stopping by here when im in the area. It was good!
I added a picture I have from a previous stop of the steak and cheese there. Drive thru run it was delicious too. I love this place. They have so many options to choose from. They even have a family meal deal and I guess daily specials too. Definitely stop in or by you will...
