Alexanders coveted " Best Breakfast Tacoma" & surrounding areas ! 7 weeks of searching and Mannys get me back tome and time again !!! Why ? , ok, good question -- Brett is an in house owner overseeing his restaurant operation. He cares , yet there is one drawback 🤔, his napkin rolls ( utensils inside ) are rolled so tight even Houdini can't get in or break the silverware out 🤣 ...The Epicenter here is the Kitchen, I apologize if my memory doesn't serve me / please correct me / Sanchez I believe his name is makes the best breakfast plate I have had since the Graeagle Restaurant ( Northern Calif ) from the 1970's. PURE consistency , perfect fried eggs , best plateful of hash browns and maple/ seasoned bacon from another World , now add O.J. , a hot chocolate w/ whipped cream & sourdough buttered toast to dip and you have a meal to savor ! They draw a loyal returning crowd , this I have witnessed , the personable, efficient, fun staff add another perk !!! No they are not local- local for I live over on West End, yet I will gladly pass by four other restaurants to make my sojourn here at Mannys . Thanks everyone , your operation is a Symphony in Motion & such an easy decision to make in returning hee as often as possible !!! We are off to New Zealand next week and will see you again late...

We were told 20-25 minutes estimated wait time. It took exactly 1 hour before we got our table. It took 30 min before we received our food. There were three of us.

Arrived Sunday and put name on wait list at 11:56 a.m. Told it would be 20-25 min. We received a call at 12:56 stating our table is ready. We were greeted immediately by our server. Our order was put in before 1:05 p.m. We received our five food plates (two omelets, breakfast sandwich, pancakes, French toast) at 1:35 p.m. The food was basic breakfast food. The manager failed to equip the kitchen with necessary staff to get food out within a reasonable amount of time. The cooks are just that, cooks. They are not trained chefs and the food reflects that. Lesson learned. We will go to IHOP before we go here.

edit The manager and/or owner failed to prepare the kitchen for a normal Sunday of business. They also continued ushering people in, despite knowing they were incapable of meeting service times provided to customers. The employees were certainly overwhelmed, as there was only one server running the floor, to include getting her own drinks. This goes back to a management problem. Either they’re too cheap to staff properly, or people do not want to remain employed here. Either way both customers and...

Stopped by on a Tuesday morning around 10am. Ample street parking available Upon arrival, we had our choice of tables with only two other customers already seated. Service was excellent and friendly. Asked for bottled water but unfortunately they do not offer any variety of bottled water so I took a diet coke instead. The surfer scramble was delivered hot to the table with eggs perfectly cooked and moist (not overcooked and dry). House made salsa placed in a small cup on the side was quite tasty and delicious. The kitchen sink was also delivered hot and was quite delicious with eggs perfectly cooked and tasty. I normally don't eat hash browns but these were crispy and light and mixed with a bit of salsa were quite delicious. Side order of peppered bacon was quite tasty, crispy and well cooked but was a bit lacking on pepper. Wheat toast is thick, light and delicious.

Overall, we were quite pleased with our breakfast here with prices on the high side but which were reasonable considering the quality of the food delivered. We will be back next time we are in the...

We have a list from the paper on must try breakfast places. Today was our day to give Manny's Place a try. It is not a very big place, I think around 15 tables. The interior isn't anything to talk about, just tables and a few decor items. The menu isn't large, but it would cover the basic breakfast items. We both had bacon and eggs. Eggs were cooked as we ordered, scrambled, and over medium. The meal came with two pieces of bacon, the menu said pepper bacon, but we both didn't taste any pepper. The bacon was very tasty and nicely cooked, not to crisp or limp. The hasbrowns were crisp and yet tender, quite good. We each had sourdough toast, one slice per plate. So Manny's has a good basic breakfast, hot and fresh, but nothing exceptional. The server was attentive and very pleasant.
