Listen, we just moved here from Denver where there is a Voodoo Donuts, a storied donut maker with a line out the door and around the corner daily. We love donuts and I’d say as a family have tried many brands. We also lived near a Krispy Kreme and have had the glazed donut right off the conveyor belt, warm and yummy. But let me tell you something: we wheeled into this place on a whim today ...it’s unassuming exterior promised a donut that we assumed would be sub par and nothing special. We could not have been MORE dead WRONG! Never judge a book by its cover, people! The donuts at this place are a TEN in deliciousness! Never in my life have I had more tender and soft dough... the perfect consistency. Then the raspberry filled glazed donut still had a little warmth inside—the outside brown and just somewhat crispy enough to contrast with the interior. What a perfect donut! Amazing dough! Filling yum! The donut holes, simple glazed ones- simple perfection. Apple fritter- usually too sweet for me...I could not stop eating it! Wow is all we have to say. This is going to become our go to. And another thing? It’s priced the way a donut shop SHOULD be priced. Not $3.89 per dang donut like some other big names places ...we got 3-4 donuts and a bag of donut holes for about $5. No marketing glitz and glam here but the real deal. Anyone who knows their way around a donut and has never tried this place had better check it out. Will NOT disappoint!! A++++ to the owners and you can support a small biz thru...
Read moreHighly disappointed. Today was national donut day and I wanted to get my kids donuts before school. When we got there there was a big sign that said cash only. Bummer. I ran to the bank and was charged a $3 non-member fee. But my kids really wanted donuts. We went back and the selection was meek at 7 am. When we walked in. No one said hi or greeted us. We waited about 3 minutes before we were served while she made coffee for drive thru. I chalked it as being national donut day. I ordered 2 apple fritters and a chocolate sprinkle donut. To say these donuts were greasy is an understatement. I took one bite and it was like eating stale grease. My fingers were dripping. I thought it was me. My daughter had hers in her bad and in less than a minute grease had soaked through getting on her school clothes. My son with the sprinkled donut took one bite and said this tastes funny. Sad part we threw all the donuts away. Unsure if they were having a bad day but I won't...
Read moreMay appear to be a dive on the outside, but dang! Some good mutherfing donuts. Matter of fact maybe best I've ever had. Kinda like how the best chinese food comes from a restaurant that makes you nervous if you over-think the cleanliness. My top 10 places to eat are all a little dicey; both outside and in. Could get shanked at night time in the area, daytime for sure harassed by a bum. " Hey miss do you have an extra cigarette? Any cash or change? Extra food??... Well can I at least have a bite of your donut?! Screw you then lady!" Make it inside and you won't be unsatisfied. Bring your mula because one wont be satisfying enough you'll be wanting at least a dozen 💰💳💵 I'm even going to say it's better than the famous VODOO DONUT! Oh yeah i said it. No crazy creations as far as presentation but straight up hot melt in your mouth, baked fresh daily, delightful local...
