I got the Mongolian beef with medium spice and white Rice. The Mongolian beef I added extra sauce on the side and I’ll include a photo the sauce they gave me extra on the side which I was charged three dollars for looks and taste. Nothing like the sauce that’s on the Mongolian beef itself. The Mongolian beef I guess it was OK. I would give it a two out of five. The portion size incredibly small for the price. Gotta order a crab goons and they weren’t crispy. They were mushy, but they didn’t have any flavor very bland not like your traditional crab lagoons that you get from Western Eyes Chinese restaurants . Now to the worst part of the whole meal, the general Tso Chicken first of all general tso chicken that I’ve ever had is usually a reddish color. The general tso chicken that I received is almost a brown and is sweet. General‘s tso chicken generally is sweet with a spicy Kick. And yet again, the portion size was extremely small compared to other restaurants. i’m new to Tallahassee and I looked up Chinese restaurants online in this place was rated a 4.6 or 4.3 being the highest within a 10 mile radius from where I live. It’s just very upsetting how very unhappy I am after looking forward to having good Chinese food for the first time in a long time and I feel like I got the McDonald’s of Chinese food. I highly doubt I’ll be returning, which is really bad because the lady that works there that served me the food and gave me this ago was very sweet and very nice and very respectful but the food they serve is...
Read moreI had a hankerin' for some Chinese cuisine for lunch today and happened to be in Tallahassee. I found Flavor Treasure and thought I'd see what they offered.
There used to be a small Chinese take-out location in Fort Myers that offered the best General Tso's Chicken I've ever had. Lucious sauce with body, tang, and heat coating pieces of deep fried chicken. Since then, I've never found any place that even comes close. That is, till today. Flavor Treasure hit it out of the park wih their General Tso's! It was almost identical to what I used to get. The flavors were right as was the heat, and the sauce is wonderful.
Even the fried rice was great, not simply rice with a few leftover vegies thrown in with some sauce. It had fresh onion and corn, and truly tasted fresh.
My intent was to eat lunch and go, but I was so pleased with the meal that I ordered another to go for my wife as I knew she would love it, and she is picky. I can report that she too thought it like what we used to get and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I will most definitely be back, and highly recomend Flavor Treasure to anyone hunting for excellent General Tso's Chicken. I'm sure everything else is...
Read moreI have been patronizing at Flavor Treasure since this restaurant opened. The two brother's cooked some awesome food. The last time, the food was very lack luster. Today, I went inside instead of ordering online because the flavor and consistency had changed dramatically. The restaurant has been sold and that explains the rude customer service and traditionally "gross" items being added to the menu. The cashier is very rude and she cannot answer simple questions about the menu. I'm so disappointed with this news. I will not return to this establishment.
To the "owner" who responded, I have no idea what you are talking about. I was not rude to anyone. Your cashier should learn how the food is prepared or let customers speak with someone else who can answer simple questions about preparation and ingredients. If someone had an allergy, they better not speak with her. Since she couldn't answer my question and proceeded to tell me, "I don't know, I just eat it" and "Do you want to try or not". I did not, and I left.
Also, this is not my first time dealing with her attitude over the phone, which is why I...
