Crafty Crab W Tennessee — Restaurant in Tallahassee

I’m not sure if this branch of crafty crab has the same owners as the previous businesses that was in the same location, but it’s the same vibe. This is the first time I’ve been to a crafty crab location and ended up just throwing nearly all of the food away.

I got the steamed oysters, which has always been my fav from crafty crab, and the shrimp and mussels. The oysters weren’t cooked all the way like they usually are, it was like I was eating them raw, and the seasoning on the plate was def below standard compared to the multiple times that I’ve had it from the different crafty crab locations. The mussels and shrimp just wasn’t good, at all, and just like the oysters it tasted like they didn’t bother to rinse the seafood or anything like that.

The customer service wasn’t anything that would make me think, hm, maybe the cook was having an off day, but they were nice people. If you’re ordering something to go unlike every other crafty crab I’ve been to, there was no where to sit while I waited for the food from what I saw, the cashier wasn’t friendly, she wasn’t mean either, but she didn’t seem to like the job from the short interaction we had.

What really aggravated me also was that I was told to sign the receipt, and they only had a sharpie and highlighter in the cup where they kept the pens. The cashier actually noticed that, and gave me a pen with no ink in it and promptly walked away before I could catch her to let her know, it really aggravated me since I just absolutely hate the sensation of writing with sharpies over paper, and that just showed lack of attention to detail, or care on their part, that showed with the food.

There was literally nothing about this location other than the name itself that was appealing at all. I’d rather drive 15 minutes more or so to one of the other locations.

And I say to others that if this is your first and only experience at a crafty crab give one of the other locations a try, this is just a mediocre one.

This was a moment where I gotta myself for wasting my money, but it turned out to be a mediocre experience.

Also I almost forgot they looked like they had a little homeless encampment in front of where luckys use to be in the same lot, before I got in there was one that was standing in the road laughing hysterically for awhile before moving out of the way, than while I was in the car, he came up to my car messing with me near the front of the restaurant, that’s also just something to keep in mind.

Also after looking at the pics, from the once’s that’s I briefly looked at, they weren’t at this location, it was a different set up...

For starters celebrated my daughter‘s 20th birthday at this restaurant location. It was one of my best decision made in terms of restaurants. We ordered snow-crab, crab-legs, calamari, Wings and a basket of catfish. The entire meal itself I would rate out 100%, I would give it 90% score. The reason for the 90% is that the catfish pieces were too small! However, the server Kat was exceptional. Unlike the other location, Kat checked on us and was prompt, friendly as well as knowledgeable.She offered my daughter a complimentary slice of cheesecake on her birthday dinner! So kudos for our server Kat! We are definitely looking forward to return at the Capital Circle...

Came in with the family and enjoyed ourselves. Definitely will be back! We came yesterday and Imara was our server. She was awesome and quick. Customer service 10/10. We enjoyed the lunch specials. I had the headless shrimp and tried the boom sauce, added broccoli and sausage. My mom the fried shrimp basket with onion rings 10/10.
