After reading other reviews, I feel like I ate in another dimension. I like buffets, and don't expect the quality to be that of a restaurant that prepares dishes individually, but this was way below par. The salad bar consisted of lettuce and cucumbers, with a few processed mayonnaise salads that tasted like the ones you get at discount grocery stores. Meats? Fried chicken livers, fried chicken thighs and fried chicken wings. That was it, and the moment a small tray came out, everyone rushed up and emptied the tray within a couple minutes, except for the chicken livers....there always seemed to be chicken livers. The sweet potatoes sure were that-sickeningly sweet, with the consistency of baby food. Seriously over-boiled vegetables and macaroni and cheese made up the rest of the offerings. A few of the staff were hanging outside at the entrance smoking, so that every time the door opened, all the smoke came filtering in. And finally, the only friendly person in the place was the one young server who was actually doing her job while the rest hung out in the doorway, or went and sat at the table near the buffet and chatted among themselves. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I won't be returning to find out if that...
Read moreWent their 2 hours before close. My husband and I wanted to eat dinner. The waitress was very rude. She started mopping the floor while we we sitting there eating. They asked us if we were finished getting food from the bar because they were ready to shut it down since they were slow and didn't have many customers. We selected our final food and ate and talked. They rushed out to pull the food off the bar. Another man came in to fix a To-go plate the cashier told him all they had left was chicken and potatoes. She lied they had just took it all to the back. 30 minutes before close the waitress stood next to our table with a wet newly mopped floor staring at us waiting for us to get out and leave. I asked her do she want us to leave she kept starring with her hand on her hip saying nothing with an angry look on her face. We felt disrespected and unwanted. She had the nerve to ask for a tip. Hell No!!! Not after that horrible experience. I paid too much money to be disrespected and treated the way I was treated. I will NEVER return here. I will spend my money somewhere else and suggest others do the same. Also they keep it EXTREMELY COLD in there so you will...
Read moreBad experience from this restaurant! My husband and I decided to try this place for lunch yesterday since it was close to the oriental market we regularly go to and had a terrible experience which started at the cashier/owner. She mistakenly charged us for 2 sweet tea when my husband only said 1. When I said I don't like tea and must cancel, in a loud voice (speaking Chinese) for all staff to hear, especially the beverage server, which I could slightly understand ( I am Asian) "to make sure I don't share the tea served to my husband!" And everytime the server pass our table, she checks on me if I've been sharing that tea with my husband. Due to a health condition, I cannot consume tea/coffee.
Second, the manner and look of food on the buffet counter was terribly presented. They look unclean, messy and served cold; except for their fried chicken; which is I presume their best seller; so they fry them right there by the end of the counter. Not much choice of food and dessert. The ice cream section saved our sweet tooth. If one needs to eat in a decent place, this is definitely NOT...
