The Wine House on Market St. & The Wine Bar, Upstairs — Restaurant in Tallahassee

Not sure where to begin. We’re told to seat ourselves. No mention that a $10 cover charge would be added to our bill. They were out of the cab on the menu. We were assured that the sub was comparable. The glass prices of the original was the same as the bottle price of the sub. 🙄then why the same price? Also corkage fee? Where else does this happen? $10 which was almost the same as the bottle $13. Ordered the chefs charcuterie board. Overall good. However you serve a finger food board with no silverware or napkins and expect us to cut our own cheese? Had to go behind the bar upstairs to get paper towels because no one checked on us except when another table sat themselves upstairs and the hostess served them water. At which time I asked for the check. Live music was decent. No hurry to come back. Really disappointed because where are is there to get good wine an cheese...

I had to post a review because my experience here was so amazing. I’m evacuated for a hurricane and forgot to pack my wine so I looked for the closest wine shop to my hotel. What a gem! I went here to grab a quick bottle of wine and ended up getting the full royal treatment. The associate was amazing and pulled out multiple bottles for me to taste based on what I told her I was looking for. She took so much time explaining all the wines to me and helping me pick the perfect couple of bottles. If I end up staying longer, I’ll definitely be back. ...

Went for late night drinks and appetizers for the first time, the owners were such a delight very knowledgeable offered my husband suggestions on German beer 🍺 he loved it. I had a nice flight of 3 wines displayed beautifully. We tried a German dish of meatballs with German potato salad it was the best potato salad I ever had.
