Hello, I Stopped in for a 2-4-1 wine with my friend We asked for 9 oz yet weâre poured a 6 oz. I get the 9 oz regularly so I know how much hat is..plus I too am a bartender..The bartender, said they had new glasses⊠hmmmm?? it doesnât matter, I know ounces. I said I think thatâs a mistake, the patron next to me agreed. She said sheâd get something to measure it out. Next thing we knew, the manager, Dan, who is always rude, came to us with our check and told us we needed to leave. We questioned as to why and he said some other customers complained about us. There was only on couple at the bar earlier, about 5 seats away. And they had left. There were 2 other people at the bar and they both quickly spoke up to say they had not complained and they also said we had said nothing offensive or were speaking too loudly. As mentioned previously, this particular manager has always had it out for me. I believe it has to do with the fact that Iâm a white 60 year old female and a boyfriend I come in with is 53 year old black man, lHe seems not to like that combination from what Iâve felt. Anyway, my boyfriend has told me in several occasions that Dan has told him to keep me on a short leash and to make sure I âbehaveâ.. Iâm a mature well educated professional so Iâm thinking he has me confused with somebody else. That being said, I usually walk to the Gandy store weekly. When I questioned Dan what his problem is with me he lied again and said he doesnât know me and has never seen me. What a crock.. Iâve also been in with my âretired police officerâ many times and he said he hadnât seen him before either. Dan could not explain his reasoning. Told us to leave. We finished our glasses, left and donât feel comfortable going back when he is there, which is too bad for everyone. That store needs a lot of help. It needs customers and cleaner bathrooms. I could go in and on about other issues but this was the straw that broke the camels back. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope and pray this can get resolved ...
Read moreLive local within one mile of this Applebeeâs in South Tampa and have visited it regularly hoping for improvement. Mainly because we are Veterans and they do an excellent job recognizing Veterans on Veterans Day motivating us to come back throughout the year. While the food is excellent, and the atmosphere good in both the dining area and bar, the service and housekeeping does not even deserve ONE star. Patrons are left waiting for tables while tables are left cluttered and uncleared with plates and leftovers from prior customers not being cleaned off in a timely manner. Depending upon which server you may get affects how soon your order is taken, if you order is taken and provided correctly, and if you are serviced correctly while you are there. This is not a place to come to if you do not have a lot of time to wait for your order to be taken, wait to have it provided in a not so timely manner and correct, and then wait for your server to return with your check usually upon request. This is not the first time this has happened at this location; prompting this review. Floor management is absent and not present while customers are left looking for their servers when some of the food arrives, but not all the food, the order is incorrect, additional items may still be needed, or everyone is served at the table, accept one person because the order was incorrect forgetting their food. These occurrences have happened to us and to tables around us on a regular basis and again last night during dinner. Not a place you want to come to if you do not want to feel neglected and forgotten. We return hoping for improvement, but with increasing competition in South Tampa, it is time to push on and leave you âforewarnedâ. I usually, and mostly, write positive reviews but today I have the unfortunate task of leaving this not so good review based upon a pattern of poor service and housekeeping and not a...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I stopped by for lunch. My table was gross. Food on the seat from previous guest. Touch screen monitor at table had nasty smears of who knows what on it. First thing I ordered was sweet tea with NO lemon. Waitress brought unsweet tea with lemon. Had it replaced and was brought back glass of worst sweet tea I ever drank before. It was warm and watered down from the ice melting so fast. Then we ordered appetizer and it was brought out cold as hell with no plates. Had to wait 10 minutes to ask for napkins and plates. Then was rushed to order because coming to my table every 2 minutes to ask if I am ready when I am obviously still looking at the menu. Then food was brought out and of course it wasn't even hot. Fries were rubbery and I guess waitress doesn't know what medium means because she instructed the kitchen no pink. Guy came up to the table and ask if everything was good, I stated it was ok. He demanded to know what was wrong- well after many attemptsto tell him not to worry about it he kept pushing the issue. I told him my issues and he walked away to get the manager. They took the food off the check and that was nice of them and all but I will never again eat at any Applebee's. I used to love going there but since they did the whole remodeling and menu change I am disappointed. No matter which 1 I go to it is always crappy food and crappy service. I know the manager tried to make me happy but it isn't the money I was spending. I was never offered to remake my food or get me a better drink. My waitress didn't even bother to come back to the table after her manager came. She wasn't friendly and was very short when she did come. Sometimes it's the waitstaff that make the experience but when you have a crappy waitress who doesn't truly understand the food in her place of work that can ruin an entire meal. I still left her a tip even when she...
