I’m so sorry, but this is one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant lol the service and food were yuck.
Myself and two friends came in the afternoon. We had never been there before. It was very slow - we were the only people sitting at the bar.
The ordering system is weird. You’re supposed to check boxes on a piece of paper and then turn it in to the server/bartender. It’s a little confusing so we had to ask the bartender to explain how it works. Not to sound like a boomer, but idk why they don’t just take an order the normal way. The box checking was stupid, more complicated and took more time overall.
When we handed in our sheets, the bartender made a comment about how many tacos we were ordering. He went “OK so that’s a LOT!” and then like stepped back and looked at us. Sorry? We can’t order as much food as we want? We explained that we hadn’t eaten all day and we were hungry. He was like “are you sure??” We were sure - jeez!
One of my friends made a mistake on her order paper (again, the box checking is dumb and confusing) so he was like “I thought I explained this to you, but whatever…” Rude! I didn’t get dude’s name, but he had a bun.
The tacos were gross fr. I am NOT a picky eater at all, but I couldn’t do it. Each taco had THREE layers of tortillas. Two raw (cold, not even warmed up, sour tasting, out of the package) corn tortillas wrapped around a fried tortilla. The filling was somehow SO WET that it disintegrated all three tortillas at once lol. When I picked one up, the whole thing just fell apart into a wet soggy mess. I tried to eat it with a fork, but ick. The beef looked and tasted exactly like Taco Bell. Truly the worst quac I’ve ever had. My friends said the queso was pretty good though.
If you’re gonna go, I’d recommend a rice bowl instead of tacos. I didn’t try that, but it looked a whole lot better than the wet (like unreasonably wet!) mess that I had. Also watch out for the bartender with the bun, he...
Read moreI attempted to order fish tacos via Uber Eats ($1.00 upcharge for the, "fish of the day" option), yet, for the second order in a row - I received shrimp tacos, which is neither what I ordered, nor what I paid for. Decided to call the restaurant, and ask why this has happened repeatedly. The man that picked up explained to me that the, "Fish of the month" is actually teriyaki shrimp, and that, "It should've said that on the Uber Eats app" (which it doesn't).
A few issues:
• Shrimp is not Fish (a distinction they don't care to be privvy to).
• If I wanted shrimp tacos, I would've ordered their Camarone Agrietado tacos. Which... you know... is the listed shrimp taco option on their menu.
• Subbing shrimp for fish, as if the two are interchangeable, completely disregards allergy concerns. The order I placed just happened to be for someone who's allergic to shellfish.
• The, "Fish of the month" being teriyaki shrimp Is... actually denoted on their website - just not on the delivery app.
Suggestion for the business: A simple changing of the verbiage - Maybe 'seafood taco of the month'? - would go a long way in mitigating confusion, frustration, and hunger.
Suggestion for Uber Eats customers: If you see, "steak of the month", as an upcharge option - Call ahead and make sure they're not mushroom tacos (Hey, both from land, same thing,...
Read moreThis was our first time and it was the week or day of pride so there is a lot of commotion going out and we came in not knowing an event is happening and just want to eat. We came across this restaurant that is across from Acropolis. They had a dj outside their side patio and the inside look amazing . We were seated by the host (male) for an outdoor seating told us someone will be here shortly. We came across these scantrons of a menu and basically creat your own. The host (male) came back and gave us water still no server. Waited for at least 20 minutes to decide to go inside and turn in my scantrons. I believe she is the bartender and express how this is our first time here and she ask is your server a male or female and I said neither because only the host (male) was the one that sat us outside and still waited for a server. She took our order and I told her I am not sure if this is right because I didn’t have a server to help us with any questions and she replied, “I got them.”
No apology
Love the concept and the food, but the customer service...
