I've been a fan of Caffeine Roasters since the day they opened up their mothership location in the building that used to be a Drama Burger on the corner of Kennedy & Armenia. That location is great for commuters since it has a drive-thru, but their parking situation totally sucks. As for their original location on Cass Street, it's across the street from the Element. I'm not sure a lot of people know about it unless you work or live around there.
That's why I'm so happy that they have this 3rd location that's conveniently close to Trader Joe's on Dale Mabry. The atmosphere here seems more modern and feminine than the other locations. However, it is a smaller space with limited seating. I can see it getting very crowded at peak times. The décor is a bit more sophisticated, and almost like a boutique café but not in a pretentious way. It's a cute place!
They serve the same great pastries, coffee, and tea as the other locations. I usually order the signature ginger spice latte, but I decided to try the housemade vanilla bean coconut latte. There are many milk alternatives. I switched to oat milk for an extra charge. There were other housemade flavors such as dragon fruit and orange, as well as seasonal peanut butter, lavender, and raspberry white mocha. There were a number of pastries as well as a kitchen menu full of breakfast and lunch items. I've had the breakfast items at other locations, and they're always wonderful. I just wanted something small (like a pastry). I chose the guava lattice because it looked so good, and it was totally the right decision. The coffee was as good as always. I definitely could taste the coffee roast with hints of natural coconut and vanilla.
I'm also in love with their oatmeal cookies and chunky chocolate chip cookies when they have them. I don't remember seeing them, but maybe that's because I was so focused on that guava lattice.
I can't wait to go back. I've been wanting to try the quiche, but I always end up with an avocado toast or breakfast sandwich. Maybe I'll finally get to try...
Read moreWhen I approached the counter I told the employee that I am gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free, and asked what they had that would be in alignment with my diet. The employee recommended the gluten-free avocado toast. I added scrambled eggs and salmon. And she recommended the hazelnut vanilla sugar-free syrup which I added to a matcha latte.
I assumed that based on my communicated dietary restrictions, she would have used plant-based milk. However after arriving halfway home and drinking half of it, I realize that it indeed was made with dairy. Which unfortunately is probably going to upset my stomach and I'm not able to enjoy the rest of my drink.
The avocado on the avocado toast had a brown spot. It's never worth whatever money a restaurant is going to save by putting brown avocado on a customer's plate.
Also while we were there, another customer went to take her first drink of her beverage and the cap was not on securely, hence pouring all over her white shirt. Obviously she was upset. Napkin machine only had two napkins left in it so she asked for more. Instead of handing her a handful of napkins, they filled up the napkin machine, which took more time and was not considerate of the urgency of trying to keep her shirt from absorbing her drink.
Seems like the employees here just aren't really present and paying attention to the details. My avocado toast was quite tasty, minus the brown spot. But when customers communicate dietary restrictions up front, that needs to be front and center so that they don't cause allergic reactions in their customers. Some people just don't really get the importance and severity of food allergies. But they shouldn't be working in a food service industry if they don't. Rural areas can get away with lack of understanding of food allergies,...
Read moreI was in the area for work and, after wrapping up, I found myself craving a good cup of hot coffee. A quick search led me to Caffeine Roasters, which was conveniently located about 10 minutes away from where I was.
Parking can sometimes be tricky in busy areas, but I was fortunate to find a spot nearby. As I walked into the coffee shop, I immediately loved the ambiance. The place was beautifully decorated, with warm tones and modern touches that gave off perfect coffeehouse vibes. The cozy yet vibrant atmosphere made it feel like a great spot to relax or catch up on work.
Caffeine Roasters had an impressive menu featuring a wide variety of coffee options, along with some tasty-looking quick bites. After browsing through the menu, I decided to go for their seasonal special: a Lavender Mint Caffe Latte. It sounded like a unique twist on a classic latte, and I was eager to try something different.
The service was quick and friendly. My coffee arrived steaming hot and beautifully crafted. The Lavender Mint Caffe Latte was a delightful surprise--the blend of flavors was subtle yet refreshing, and the balance between the lavender and mint was just right. I also appreciated that it was made with less sugar, exactly as I wanted. The smooth, high-quality coffee base shone through, making it the perfect pick-me-up for a busy Saturday morning.
Overall, my experience at Caffeine Roasters was fantastic. The inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and great coffee made it a place I'd definitely visit again. I'm already looking forward to trying more items from their menu, and it's safe to say this spot has become one of my go-to coffee stops whenever I'm...
