IHOP — Restaurant in Tampa

My mother and I went to IHOP at the south tampa location on 5/16/24. , our waitress was Valerie , our service was terrible , I ordered veggie omelet with avocado and hash browns , mom ordered the POTM May whtchrs . The hasbrowns were raw and I had to return, the avocado was never served so I asked to have it taken off my bill . My moms pancakes were dry and not at all like the advertisement, very little raspberries that were puréed on the top and just a few white chocolate morsels , she was not offered butter or syrup therefore there was nothing on the other three pancakes, the menu was misleading and mom thought the four pancakes came with eggs and bacon , needless to say she was charged $3.18 for two eggs and $4.79 for 4 slices of uncooked bacon. When the bill came I was still being charged for the avocado. We went back and forth with the waitress which was embarrassing to me because I don’t like to make a scene anywhere and should have to , Valerie say oh ok I will fix it , she came back with another bill show a 10% senior citizen discount and still charged for the avocado. Oh my goodness, I told her we are senior citizens and the bill is not correct , she said I know you are seniors let me see what I cand do . She then returned with another bill and said she took off the omelette lol and still charged for the avocado! Outrageous! I will not be returning to this location, I was thankful that we got a discount but just nit pleased with the entire experience! The place was filthy and one door was blocked with chairs so there was only one way in and out ! PS : the combo menu for the f egg pencils pancakes is misleading and in our opinion should be changed that is a rip off charging extra for eggs and bacon or the waitress should have explained the combo is only with...

No sense of urgency from anyone, especially managers.

We had a table of 3, and and all 3 of us ordered the same dish. After a small(reasonable) wait for our food, we recieved our food. 2 of my party asked for extra gravy. I pointed out I didn't have even half of the amount gravy on my plate. (Pictures below) I was told we would be charged extra for gravy. Because it's "portion controlled". I do not mind paying for the extras i order in addition to the meals. But i do expect it to be atleast a some what constant amount through out. Especially ordering the same thing. I argued and had to wait 10 mins for extra gravy to be brought to the table. Our server seemed aggravated. I soon understood it wasn't her fault. Being belittled by a manager on front of customers and she was being treated like she was a 5 year old girl. Our server was overall an amazing server Our drinks never were empty.. Our plates were busted throughout our meal. The reason for the 2 stars is management's attitude toward employees and the amount of time it was to even get change. I waited 15 mind after handing money for the check (while standing at the door because I was ready to leave) Great server. Not so much food or urgency of any kind from kitchen...

We went there last night around 10 pm (Wed, August 8). Food was always ok but service was not as good as usual.

This was the first time we got a Spanish lady serving us. She came with attitude for some reason. She never smiled. She didn't say Hi or anything. It got worse when we said we wanted waters. We gave her many chances to see if she would realize how to treat her customers. We said Thank you when she dropped our food. Also Thank you when she dropped the check and Thank you when she gave my card back. Guess what.. we didn't even get one You're welcome or Thank you at all.

On the other hand, the table next to us was a group of white people. She introduced herself and said her name and smiled. This is 2018. This kinda thing does exist.

Anyway, we decided to tip her more than 20% even after she treated us like that. I hope she would realize people of all races have manners. She may have a tought day. We understand but we can't go back there with this type of service. If we go back there we will try our hardest not to get her as our server.

Not to mention about one table walking out and yelling at her. Then she tried to explain to her manager about what happened loudly.
