The host was very nice and sweet I don’t blame her for taking over an hour from my 1Small 12inch pizza! Nothing crazy, an the Restaurant was pretty much dead inside, I counted 8 workers And one brick oven I don’t know what the issue is Pizza ovens are normally over 500° and cook pretty freaking quick in the right oven but somehow I ordered at 3:30 and my order wasn’t ready until 445. I live over an hour Away and now I’m late for my doctors appointment. Don’t even have time to eat and just feel nauseous. I don’t normally write reviews unless I’m real disappointed I guess long story short if you don’t mind waiting over an hour for one small pizza this is a place for you like I said, wasn’t even busy like that. I saw how many people come to pick up their food maybe two total people came in to pick up food and they told me they had a bunch of takeout orders. OK still it’s pizza. What’s the big fricking deal is It was a White pizza didn’t even have to put freaking sauce on it I don’t know and then it was About $20 so $$$ Your wallet better not have dust bunnies in it

Worst service ever today 7/24/18. Sat at table 40 minutes with just one glass of water server just never came by after taking order to check or ask if you wanted more drinks When she just open order book showing hundred dollar bill cash because she was trying to show off that she’s a great waitress so not true everyone else got served but my table the gentleman that was at the bar when I first came in got his pizza no silverware no plate but The garlic knots came in the server apologizing when my party went up to the waitress in the cook area and complain about not having a pizza there was no pizza ready for us or being made The manager was right there said nothing went to hostess podium told her the same thing just said go to the bar to pay for your soda 🤬🤬🤬🤬 (UPDATE) went back a lot better.Staff has been updated ands very friendly checking on you more food was hot (had pizza) ordered the chesse cake (a must) before pizza as it takes time to make a great pizza. Giving them 5 STARS NOW.......

Authentic New York pizza, never been to New York myself but I have ate at a lot of pizza places that claim to have New York style pizza & nothing has tasted like this pizza. The server was very enthusiastic to tell us about the menu & such that the sausage is manufactured just for Grimaldi's. There were different kinds of crust. The mozzarella cheese is the "real deal" sliced fresh for each pizza so it's that round white cheese not the shredded, floured cheese. My husband got a traditional 18" pepperoni & sausage, light sauce. He took the first bite & expressed how delicious the pizza was. He ate every slice by himself except for 2. I tried a 12" traditional gluten free crust, just cheese, light sauce. The bread that we asked for before our pizza got there was delicious. We declined dessert but our server did tell us that the cheesecakes' are made fresh. The large single slice is regular traditional pizza. The small 4 slices is the gluten free crust

Lived in Tampa for almost a decade and loved visiting Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Citrus Park. Had only been to the Westshore location a few times, but while back in Tampa visiting decided to meet up with friends for lunch. We met outside at 1100 am and seated promptly with a party of 6. Manager seated us and we perused the menu for a few minutes. Ordered VERY simplistic items -- LARGE CHEESE PIZZA, spinach salad and 6 sodas. Easy right? Placed order at 11:10 am ..... at 11:48 am manager schleped over to relay that the kitchen burned our pizza. I looked around us to see every.table already has their pizza, refills, desserts. While I was enjoying the company of my friends --- now I am getting annoyed. Had to ask for salad and refills. The high maintenance table behind us was getting all of our waiters attention. The manager never apologized nor did he offer the 3 year old at our table bread ... NOTHING! Pizza FINALLY came out an hour later. Surprise .. no one ever asked, "How is your meal? Need refills? Dessert? You need anything else"? Tracked down clueless waiter (Ed)? and requested check. Conveyed my dissatisfaction with lack of service, burnt pizza and zero refills. Crappy manager walked over (it is now 1230 pm.... an hour & a half later) asking, "what's the problem"? Where do I begin? He was actually charging us for the burnt pizza? Manager began arguing with me and reluctantly removed burnt pizza. Offered us a $5 gift card.... huh? Took no responsibility for subpar service. Manager and server need to be retrained on customer service. Would I come back? Hell no and neither would any of my...

Decent, but not great. Pretty disappointed overall. A medium pizza with 2 toppings cost me $26 (before tip) and was so greasy that the toppings and cheese were sliding off of it. I’ve had worse, but this definitely did not meet expectations after seeing so many positive reviews. The worst part by far was the experience. There were fruit flies absolutely everywhere to the point it was distracting - and I was fending them off my food, which is pretty gross. Then there’s the employees. Ugh. Sure, it was around 5:30 on a random Weds but STILL. The staff should be downright embarrassed about the conversations being had. Management - this is a case where you are actually overstaffed. There were no less than 3 employees standing around chit chatting at the front of the restaurant at any given time. Being that I was by myself, I sat at the bar, which I believe was a mistake. I’m not one to get easily offended but the conversations were ridiculous and very loud, ranging from Chic-fil-A ownership to religion! I mean... really?!! I don’t want to go out to eat to listen to some kids rant about Christianity, and I honestly can’t believe this kind of high volume conversation is tolerated when employees are supposed to be working. With just a handful of guests and so many people working, the experience should have been top notch! All that to say, I’ll stick to Anthony’s Coal...

First time back in four years and we were very disappointed. I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about as our food was nothing like what they described. Let me first say that we go out A LOT and don't mind paying high prices for food, material things, or experiences, but what you get has to be worth the extra cost. Similarly, when I pay fast food prices, I don't expect Michelin-quality food. In other words, my expectations are in line with a sane person.

My wife and I went to Grimaldi's at West Shore Mall for dinner tonight. Ordered a 12" gluten-free pizza with chicken and a 16" traditional with bacon. Both were paper thin, extremely dry, hard and lacking in taste. There were barely any sauce or cheese. The 12" gf pizza ended up costing $24, which didn't sit well with me since what we got wouldn't compare to something we can get from a dive strip mall take-out pizza joint. I had a beer, she had a glass of house red, and we shared a small (tiny rather) salad. The total bill with tip came to almost $100. Not that that is an outrageous price for dinner, but for what we got, it was indeed an outrage. The atmosphere was decent, but that's not nearly enough to get us back there. There are too many good places in TB for us to waste our time and money ever again...
