illy Espressamente — Restaurant in Tampa

Before my flight at the Tampa Airport, stopped and asked a young lady if I could PAY for a few shots of hazelnut syrup. She was kind enough to provide for free. While she handed me the small cup of hazelnut, Nicole, her coworker, demanded that I pay for it. The young lady was like no I gave it to her. Nicole insisted once again that I pay or she was going to go get the boss. Instead of the unnecessary worthless words from Nicole I asked how much it cost. 90 cents Nicole stated. She proceeded to cash me out BUT was unable to do so. It was very obvious that a single shot of hazelnut didn't have a specific amount. If so, it would've been easy to cash me out. Instead, Nicole rudely said "today is your luckily day. Next time you have to purchase coffee with us!"

Well first of all, I don't HAVE to do nothing. Secondly, it was HER luckily day that I did not match her negative energy! She was VERY RUDE!

As I told the young lady who was kind to me, You have to pick and choose your battles! Clearly Nicole wasn't worth giving up my peace just because she was unhappy with herself!

It's very clear she wants to be in management but her character and communication skills have limited her abilities!

Nicole you're just a number at Illy's. Remember that! You are replaceable! Let's see how loyal they will be to you when you really need them!

It pays to be...

If I could give 0 stars I would, all the workers were completely rude when I asked where my food was after 15 minutes of waiting, note everyone behind me had already got their food. Apparently the cashier hadn't put the ticket up, ok, kinda annoyed but alright. Wait another 5 minutes, I ask again because others have gotten their food but I still haven't gotten mine. Note all i asked for was a grilled cheese and a banana muffin. Apparently none of the other workers were aware I ordered, so one of the workers, didn't get her name but she was black with braids, asked to take the receipt, she promised to give it back to us. Long story short we finally got our food, however one of the other workers decided to be rude to my mom by calling her Karen in a rude tone. Note my mom's name is not Karen. So I leave trusting they put the receipt in the bag, because unfortunately I try to see the best in people. Jokes in me they didn't give me the receipt and upon me coming back they were even more rude. Under the breathe of one of the workers I heard that they had thrown my receipt away so I had to wait to get it back. Needless to say if you are at the airport and want something to eat, go...

So disappointing🤬🤬 I used to look forward to having a great café latte & delicious tasty fresh sandwiches and pastries. & I was happy to pay the high prices before because they were so good and fresh! But there is no explanation or excuse for what we received this morning other than this can not be the same Company!!…Did they get bought out?

What we received this morning for our $45 order was bad Cafeteria /Hospital Food at best! The Egg & Cheese Paninis were hard & burned but There was no time to return it as my flight was about to board. I thought at least we could enjoy the pastries on our flight to Dallas …NOT! They were totally hard and disgusting and nothing like what I was accustomed to ordering from here in the past (almost all of the very few 5🌟reviews are from 2-4 years ago - So It’s not just me…this restaurant is definitely not the same!) …. I would love Corporate to get back to me and give me a refund or some explanation but it looks like nobody here from corporate even responds to this long list of complaints that I now see...
