UPDATE: I believe they have changed a lot of the staff, and that's made a big difference. The portion sizes are bigger and the people there are always hospitable (there's a specific lady who works there who is always so nice and welcoming!). I haven't tried their sandwiches in a while, but have had their breakfast options and haven't been disappointed. Big improvement!
Original review:
I'm a bit confused by the good reviews, as most people agree that the food at this Nature's Table is very bland and overpriced. Nature’s Table is kind of like Chipotle’s depressed cousin – the concept is cool (healthy eating without needing the wait time of a sit-down restaurant), but the execution is poor.
I’ve had the chicken salad sandwich and one of the salad bowls here, and both times I was disappointed. The salad bowl consisted of a very small portion for about $7, which made me feel ripped-off. The chicken sandwich was mostly bland with very rubbery bread that tasted like it’d been left out too long. To give you a better idea of the food, I recently opted to eat half a can of beans for lunch than to purchase one of the entrees from here – and it wasn’t a money issue, it was just because I didn’t want to overpay for unsatisfying food.
I know I probably sound like I’m being picky, but I think the quality and quantity of food at this place is disappointing and overpriced. I’ve eaten at a different Nature’s Table location and although the food was still bland, the portions of the food bowls were a lot better, so maybe it’s just the employees at this location being stingy. To conclude, my grievances / suggestions: Make the portions for the salad bowls bigger, try to make sure your bread is fresh since mine was rubbery even after being toasted, and try to make the food more flavorful, maybe with seasoning.
PS - I gave two stars instead of one because the menu does have a good amount of options and it's nice that the food is...
Read moreNot worth it anymore. I was a usual at this place for over a year and within the past few weeks it has come under new ownership. Key employees have quit, prices were hiked up across the board, petty charges for some ingredients, and changes to workflows that don't take into account the customer experience. Examples include using the brand new pizza oven to heat sandwiches up for efficiency which makes the ingredients molten instead of the panini press. Charging 50 cents to $1.50 extra for base ingredients like jalapenos, tomato, lettuce, etc. Increasing prices across the board without adding to or increasing the quality of the menu item. I hope they can fix a lot of their growing pains under the new ownership. Moral of the story is a quesadilla with chicken, cheese, and jalapenos with a cup of pasta salad should not be $18.
EDIT: One month later I went back and it is worse than when I wrote the original review... I will not be going back. Go to The Rocky Pointe Cafe instead. It is cheaper and you get a better product. I'd post pictures of the comparison from the exact same menu items at each location, but I don't want people to get the wrong impression thinking The Rocky Pointe Cafe's food is found at...
Read moreI believe the owner was present the day I visited. He was welcoming, friendly and patience as I looked over the menu. First of all the place was very clean as well tidy. The menu offers a large choice of amazing items. Most of the items were leaning to a healthier choice but not overly done. I chose from the toasted sandwich section, which had thick sliced chicken breast (not a sandwich meat), fresh spinach, olive tapenade and swiss cheese. It was served with a small side of tzatziki sauce, which was fresh and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I would definitely recommend this place and I will visit again the next time I visit this...
