The food was amazing as always. This was an ideal situation as I was picking my brother up from the nearby bus station. While I awaited his arrival I thought I'd grab my fiance her beloved gizzard meal;so I went through the drive through not paying much attention because I was on a personal call. The drive-thru was flooded with traffic. I collected her order and headed to pickup my brother. Once he was in the car he decided he wanted to experience the food he smelled and I was raving about. He insisted we go in. We went in to order and to our dismay the atmosphere was dismal at best. I tried to sway the energy to no avail as the cashier just seemed to not want to be there. I asked if she was a manager she said no and pointed to a lady standing nearby. As I inquired as to why this location seemed so solemn she gave a forced smile and stated they had just been slammed with customers. I expressed that smiling was a simple thing that could enhance customer service and would definitely be appreciated although I understood the affects of the rush. All in all I left here thinking I would not like to visit this location any time soon. It is my perspective in high volume times this is the opportunity to actually acquire new customers. Read moreI have given this franchise numerous times to improve its service and they just need help. The drive-through person needs to learn how to speak politely and professionally to customers. The cashiers and cooks need to learn how to keep orders organized. My friend and I love seafood and we were excited when we found a place that was supposed to have good seafood. The Salem's on Fletcher is AWESOME. This Salem's on 50th St. messes up the order 99% of the time we order here. It's either fried food when we asked for grilled, items on our salad that we asked to be omitted, missing food items, or occasionaly extra items. We speak English clearly, but somehow no one at the restaurant gets our orders right. This is a harsh review, but since we visited at least 6 times and they consistently get the order wrong, I think this review is warranted. I hope everyone else has better service than we get.
