This place is great.

I went ahead and read all the bad reviews before posting to make sure I wasn't missing something, but it seems like people are upset that they don't "over pour" drinks and that they are pricy. It's armature works and you're literally on the water for beautiful sunset views- both of the critiques are unfounded. If you want to pay less for more drink don't go somewhere this nice.

Drinks were great, prices were to be expected (not quite Disney level, but definitely a waterfront upgrade- just look at the menu before you order). Service was stellar, and the food was super fresh and tasty (seasoned but not overly). The food is meant to compliment the drinks, and it's not a full menu, so if you're looking for a nice meal first and foremost it might not be for you. The sauce on the tots was on point. The Debutante cocktail was a perfect Hendricks concoction. Sangria was fruity bliss.

Safety note: I went with a friend during reopening phase 1 after COVID-19 and they enforced social distancing during the wait time, had their servers wearing masks, gloves, and all tables were spaced out. The only bummer was the wait. I'd definitely recommend an open air place like this for a...

First let me say I'm writing this for "accessibility" purposes ONLY. I'm sure most patrons would give this place 4 stars or more. I was really wanting to find some waterfront dining while we were in Tampa and this was the closest one to us. I was really looking forward to it. All but ONE of the tables here are tall with tall stools. There was only one table I would have been able to sit at, being in a wheelchair, and it was set right at the entrance of the restaurant and it was away from the water. So 1) you'd be sitting where the highest amount of foot traffic would be. & 2) you couldn't enjoy any waterfront dining. If the table was occupied, you're out of luck. We didn't stay. So I couldn't tell you anything about the food or service. I just came in & immediately knew I wouldn't enjoy this so we left. But again - I'm sure this place would be perfect for most others. If you're in a wheelchair, or in any way in capable of "climbing" onto high stools at a high table, just know that this is not the place to go if you're specifically hoping for...

It was such a beautiful day we just had to go out, and outdoor places make us feel safer so this was a great choice. We've been here a couple of times before and we haven't had a bad experience. Due to the pandemic they don't have table service, they did before, but you can order your drinks and snacks at the bar. There was a bit of a wait when we ordered, but it was just so nice out that it wasn't a big deal. We ordered a few drinks and food. Now, let me tell you about the food! We ordered the grilled oysters (With cheddar, jalapeno, very tasty! $14 for six. They have them raw as well), tentacle tots (Fried calamari and tater tots with a creamy sauce and peppers), and fresh grouper tacos. Everything was excellent, but my favorite were definitely the tentacle tots, they are $14 and totally worth it! They also had the 3 Daughters Key Lime Pie cider and that is very tasty! Overall we spent, with the food and four drinks, around $75. Please do visit and get the oysters and...

Stones Throw is a great spot to grab lunch, dinner, or drinks. It’s located right next to Armature Works along side the river. It is all outdoor seating. It’s a great place to bring your dog too. I came here for Taco Tuesday with some friends. They have a great Taco Tuesday deal. You get 2 tacos for $6 and they have two $8 drink specials. I ordered their steak tacos, which I really enjoyed. I had their margarita, it was strong but good. They make their own margarita mix, the guy was squeezing the limes in front of me to make juice. The service was quick and attentive. I’ll definitely be back! It’s also a great place to people watch! @living.with.reg
